For a Ritz Carlton Hotel, it doesn't make it. It's way over priced with cheap rooms. You need to try another hotel in the area, this is not a good hotel. Go to the Four Season in :LA, its much better. They are just living off there name/

Don't be confused, it's a really nice hotel. But in comparison to most of the Ritz's I've been too (3 or 4) it's not quite as nice. I think the common areas are great and so is the service. The rooms are a little plain and have very low ceilings. It's still a nice place to stay, best in the... More

This is an interesting choice if you want to be close (walking distance) to the iconic Venice Beach, but still 'tucked away' from the chaotic action (and traffic). It's also a great choice if you need to be VERY close to LAX. You can get between your terminal and the hote, by cab,l in 15 minutes or less... and then... More

My wife and I stayed at the Ritz Carlton Marina Del Rey 5/4-5/6, room 209. While the staff was exceptional, as well as the quality of the room, we had the misfortune of booking our stay for the same weekend as a large (and rather boisterous) wedding party. Friday night we had plans and spent little time in the hotel.... More

I booked a weeks stay for my wife, step-daughter and myself. I booked 2 queen beds and when we arrived they said they only had rooms with 1 king bed left. I showed them my reservation showing 2 beds but was told it was only a request. I couldn't believe a quality hotel chain like Ritz was trying to tell... More

Stayed at this property a while ago, and booked a return visit thanks to a special rate. The property is tired, and doesn't really live up to my expectations for this brand. I would not regard this as a luxury property at this time, and if not for the good deal, and the fact that I was in the area... More

The sliding doors onto the standing-room only balcony had no lock, not even a latch. A bit of a concern for a woman travelling alone, particularly since my room was only on the second floor. The toilet was either dirty or stained or broken as there was a dark spot in the bottom of the bowl. The toilet was not... More

I was pretty disappointed as i thought i'd be getting more for a ritz... It was just like staying at a marriott. Bathroom had dirt on the back of the door.

When checking in it was discovered that my granddaughter and I were assigned a room with a king bed instead of two queens as I had requested. To accommodate us I had to upgrade and pay for a suite, which was very masculine and dark. Disappointing, but it did overlook the marina. That said, the concierge and bell staff were... More

Was a nice inviting Hotel but thought the $500 a night price tag for the age of the rooms and fading decor was a bit excessive. The bar was so dark I could hardly find my drink. The restaurant was superb and the sommeliers wine selection to match my perfectly cooked pork steaks was spot on.
