The Checkers Hilton is a nice urban hotel in downtown LA. The staff was very nice. My only issue is that the hotel rate was on the steep side. I can recommend this hotel, but you must be willing to pay a steep rate.

This is my go to place to stay in Downtown LA. Boutiquey feel. Excellent staff/service. Way above average restaurant food. Within walking distance to lots of decent/nice restaurants, including the blistering hot sugar sushi.

Stayed at the Hilton Checkers three times over the past 30 days for business. Location was convient for access to our business meetings, rooms are decent to above average and the service was very good. Breakfast's were a highlight among the meals at the restaurant.
