We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is pretty big, the lobby was nice, but as soon as soon as you enter the lift upwards, it's all downhill. The room was pretty spacious and probably as clean as a room in in that way can be. The curtains had stains, so did the carpet and ceiling. The bedding was... More

We stayed at The Wilshire Hotel for three nights. While the room itself wasn't fancy we had the requested view of the Hollywood sign which was the selling point for us staying at the hotel. The location of the hotel was great being right across the road from a Metro station for when we went to Universal Studios and it... More

The hotels facade is uninviting, with the entrance resembling a car park. Parking is expensive at $25 per day, but the valet attendants were efficient and friendly mannered. The corridors are extremely outdated with the carpet practically threadbare in the tread ways. Our room (I'm guessing they're all like this) was on the sad side of OK. Our Non smoking... More

Although I am used to having a much nicer room for that kind of money, the customer service made this a luxury resort in my heart. Everyone I encountered treated me so well. I felt not only like a valued customer, but that they actually cared about me personally. In rating this hotel itself, I would say that the room... More

The lobby area was nice with a little snack bar and lounge area. The rooms however were totally gross. There was an iron stain on the floor upon entering the dingy room along with cigarette and holes in the non smoking room disgusting carpet. The drapes were stained and probably have been hanging there since they opened their doors. Outdated... More

I had an extremely unsatisfactory stay at the Wilshire Hotel the weekend of April 14-16, 2012.. Firstly, When booking, it mentioned that there was a “$25.00 valet fee,” but nowhere did it state that valet was the ONLY option. I had figured I would just self-park to avoid the fee, but this is not an option, so I find the... More

I have stayed at this hotel twice in the past month and I found the standard to be quite reasonable. It is no a 5 star accommodation but it is comfortable and clean. I stayed on two different floors and did not have the same experience that other reviewers have reported. The second time I was fortunate to get a... More

I booked the hotel under a friends recommendation, but after reading one of the reviews after our stay, I think he might have recommended The Hotel Whilshire. If you take public transport, ie train, you will need to change three lines and take about one hour to get there from LAX airport. Don't do it if your plane arrives late... More

This hotel is very run-down and shabby. The room was clean, except for old smoking smell and stained carpet. Also, the rooms look nothing like the photos on the website. The furnishings are very old and faded. The hallways smelled like urine. The bottled water from the gift shop was a used, refilled bottle. Buy water from the machines. The... More
