We were not planning to stay here but we were attending a wedding and was told that the couple will incur extra charges if the reserved rooms were not booked by the guests We did not enjoy our stay in this hotel at all. The place is dated and needs some serious upgrades. The room is small, not too clean... More

Excited to know that "Thursday Night Vibe" is returning. My wife and I enjoyed the series and purchased ticket to several of the shows. We love the atmosphere in the gardens. Good looking out Kyoto! We were sadden when we called the Kyoto to learned the vibe series was over. The only part that is missing with the Vibe is... More

Checked-in past midnight. Front desk was amazingly receptive, courteous, & friendly for a 2am check-in. Room was exactly as requested, clean, value was substantial, and location is ideal, especially if you've got business in downtown L.A. Would definitely stay again. Would recommend to family & friends without any hesitation.

Nice hotel situated near some excellent Japanese places to eat and a Starbucks next door. Don't do as we did and try to walk down la street for somewhere else for breakfast. There isn't anywhere else close by. La street was recommended by staff for clothes shopping. Hubby and I walked,or should I say goose stepped as fast as we... More

Everything was wonderful and have no complaints regarding my stay. The one complaint I do have is that the website that I bought the reservation from said the hotel was .07 miles from the Los Angeles Convention Center but when I got there it was actually 3.2 miles away. So having to pay for 24.00 to park each day I... More

From the time we checked the staff were gloomy and unhelpful. For all the ads run to visit California work needs to be done on attitude . The young man working the bar was very friendly and helpful. The Japanese area was nice . Give this hotel a miss . The gym is being renovated so will probably be nice... More

Not a bad hotel if you don't mind bed bugs. Lobby was nice but then we went to our room and it looked like a rest home.

I've stayed at the Kyoto several times over the last two years on business. It's location right smack dab in the middle of downtown LA is good, and there aren't a lot of nice hotels in the area. The plusses are its cleanliness, nearby restaurants (if you like Japanese food), and walking distance to most of what you need. Downsides... More

The hotel was awesome! The garden is great for a walk through so don't miss it. The pillows and bed are super comfy! The location is fantastic. The front desk staff are all very polite and knowledgeable. Don't miss taking a picture and enjoying the beautiful lighting that looks like upside down umbrellas or lily pads - either way it's... I stayed at the Kyoto for 2 nights during a business trip along with 2 other coworkers. My room was clean had a very comfortable king bed and i slept like a baby. The parking structure was crowded but the attendant parked my car for me and brought it up to the front door the next morning. Great job.
