Travelled by car and if you look away from the heavy traffic up from Santa Monica this hotel is awesome! It has a great location, nice staff, parking in garage for a small fee, complimentary light breakfast, WiFi and the rooms are all large. We enjoyed our stay and would come back again :)

If modern kitchen and bathroom fittings matter to you then look elsewhere. For the rest of you this is the perfect place to stay in Hollywood. The lack of a real lobby took us by surprise, but we were not disappointed. Huge and comfy king sized beds (one in a separate bedroom). Complete kitchen (microwave, toaster, oven). The staff was by far the friendliest that I have met among hotel staff anywhere, constantly offering their assistance in any which way. I had some problems with the wifi though, but the manager told me that they are in the process of improving that too.
