First off I want to start by saying I have looked forward to spending the night on the Queen Mary for years. I've visited and toured the ship on several occasions and have always been enamored by the beauty of the promenade deck and the Observation restaurant. Our stay at the hotel on the Queen was filled with disappointment. The... More

My girlfriend and I spent 3 nights in one of the top-of-the-line Full Suites. And while it was wonderful to feel we were back in time and to have so much room to spread out, we were shocked to discover that the bathtubs had a rounded bottom to them. By this I mean, when you stood in the tub to... More

Our trip was a spur of the moment decision when the plumbing broke at our vacation cabin. We have stayed on the Queen Mary before and always have enjoyed our selves and visiting Parkers Lighthouse over at Shoreline Village for some good sea food. We recommend the happy hour at Parkers for some good deals on food and beverage. Also,... More

Paul W – So glad we could provide refuge during your plumbing situation, hopefully all is well now on the home front. The Diana: Legacy of a Princess exhibit aboard our ship is something we are very proud of and a must-see for any fan of the Royal Family. With Kate’s baby on the way and a movie on Diana... More

in general very good and interesting place to stay, concerned about getting into "town" as it seemed a bit far out but excellent free shuttle bus service right to the main places to visit in l. beach. only niggles, no free wifi because "we've changed access since you booked" available $ 10 a day !!!! and on last night slipped... Dazwhite - Apologies on the mix up with the parking. We will look into that. As far as the $10 you mentioned, we do charge a facilities fee included in your room purchase. For that you get free local calls, domestic long distance, Wi-FI internet access, use of the newly renovated gym and a self guided tour of the ship.... More

The walls are paper thin, the place is a dump, the whole stay was one of the worst experiences of my hotel staying life. The hundred year old bathrooms were awful and uncomfortable, but it was the fact that you could clearly hear every conversation through the walls that made it special. What good is a hotel if you can't... More

JetBlackNinja – Thank you for voicing your concerns. Unfortunately, do to the historic nature of the ship, noise can be an issue on occasion as the ship was designed to be at sea where noises from the engine room, the ocean itself and ocean life would cancel out most of that noise. Now being permanently tethered to the land in... More

I visited the Queen Mary on June 2 and 3, 2013. I read a lot of negative comments about the hotel, which led me to book a hotel room next door at the Marriott Residence Inn; however, after arriving and touring the ship, I wish I had stayed on the Queen Mary. The ship is almost 80 years old, but... More

The ship was fun and the historic aspect was very interesting. We had a mini suite and it worked well for 3. I expected the rooms to show their history, but they did need a little updating. Our beds were very uncomfortable. The food and tour were good and the desk people very friendly. The only other thing was the... More

We had been down in LA for a family wedding. Mum had booked this stay for us as a treat (we didn't want to go to Disneyland). As you drive along Queens Highway, it's like coming into Southampton in 1936, the ship appears out of no where, disappears, then before you know it, you are quayside and the valet is... More

Huntmix – Wow. That is quite the review, we feel like we stayed with you and your father as well. And so cool about your personal family stories…we love hearing stories like that....we just hope you didn’t carve your initials anywhere on this stay. Only problem with the room was a missing bath tub plug, but that was remedied by a call to the desk. Rooms are nice and a comfortable size. We had the harbor scenic view and it did not disappoint. I enjoyed the experience of staying on the Queen Mary. I found it to be like stepping back into the 20's or 30's. Lots of Art Deco styling and rich wood. The rooms were surprisingly large for a ship compared to some ship cabins. It was great to see all the old room fixtures like the fan, salt water taps,... More

Pattilca – We are so glad you enjoyed your stay aboard the ship. We have tried to add modern amenities and keep that classic feel to this beauty of a ship…and WIFI was a must.
