I had booked our accommodation through Expedia. When we arrived we were told that a smoking room had been booked which is not what we wanted. Both Margarita and Betty were very quick to help us with changing the room to a non smoking with no hassle at all. The motel rooms are very clean, modern and nice to walk...

My wife and I were there a couple nights ago. I thought the place was a little over priced for the product. However, the room was clean and neat. The employees were friendly and efficient. The views of the mountains in the morning were spectacular. Breakfast was less than average even for a motel continental. As we left town, we...

We stayed for one night between Yosemite and Death Valley so really werent expecting a lot however it was a pleasant surprise. The room was well equipped with 2 large beds and a fridge, bathroom was tiny but fully functional. Free wifi worked all over the hotel including the car park and the pool was very weloming after a long...

Yes, it is a motel and has a motel feel but it has a good relaxed vibe to it.
Room was good and clean, quite large. Breakfast was good.
My only criticism is that it is a bit of a way out from the town. After a day out It would have been quite a way to walk.
Lone Pine...

given it is located in a terrific setting, it was very good. The Best Western is a pretty basic motel that I would imagine dates back to the 60's. Nothing special, including the hot breakfast, but one has to compare it to the other places to stay in Lone Pine and based upon that and the many great things to...

Thank you for your kind words. The motel was actually built in 1948 by my Great Grandfather (the original 20 units) and we are always striving to keep it updated and as comfortable as possible. I hope you'll come back and stay with us again in the future to see our ongoing changes and progress.
Sincerely,
Travis Powell

Needed a place to stay for one night after our Death Valley weekend, and I am so glad we went a bit out of our way and stayed at this lovely motel. Our room was comfortable, the bathroom was large with good counter space and a great shower. Everything was clean and looked fresh - nothing drab or dingy in...

Stayed overnight here and had a great stay, wonderful views of Mount Whitney be put off by the fact that it's roadside. We had a room right next to the road and still had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was good, plenty to choose from, it says free hot breakfast but in comparison to other best westerns we have used...

This is above-average chain motel accommodation. The rooms are big -- especially the appropriately-named John Wayne room! (#160). Service is friendly and the rooms are clean. This is a great place to spend a night while touring in the Eastern Sierra and Death Valley regions.

When I checked in I realized I had only reserved one nigths lodging but had wanted to stay for three nights. Margarita was very helpful and solved the issue and put me in one of their largest rooms. Margarita was very helpful and provided great service. Overall the room was very clean, nicely appointed and house keeping did an outstanding...
