This park is a beautiful hidden jewel of the SF Bay Area. It feels as though one is hundreds of miles away from the congestion of the city life. Nothing but shade. Giant redwoods and the occational visit from the racoons. It is peacful if you go durring the week but does get packed on the summer weekend. sound does travel and you hear all the screaming kids everywhere in the camp ground, but come 10:00 not a peep. One of our favorite campgrounds. The rangers are friendly and the redwoods here are beautiful. We spent three days recently and felt rejuvenated. Sites vary from semi-private to not so private and some are much bigger than others. Reservations are taken online and a map is provided with pictures of individual sites. I recommend the sites on the river sides... More
