We rented Sow's Ear for a week. Such a beautiful location! The cabin was very clean, lots of room even when we were cabin-bound by the rain. Easy access to fishing, tossing pebbles in the water, and the wonderful One Maple Winery. And the pecan rolls were very tasty! More

What an amazing place. I brought a group of classical musicians up to Trinity for the Trinity Alps Chamber Music Festival, and we spent two nights at Steph and Heidi's biggest cabin on the property - the one called "Alpenglow". When there wasn't enough privacy for one of our extra couples they helped us arrange to rent one of the... More

We had a truly wonderful time on the Trinity River --beautiful setting, fun kayaking, lovely dinners on the deck. Unfortunately, our experience of Adventure Inn after we left was extremely unpleasant. We probably should have known. The full paged 8pt typed list of what we should clean, the 3.5% surcharge for using a credit card, the long list of cleaning... More

I am Heidi. We take photographs of our guests when we guide them down the river on kayaks and in the raft. Often, I email them to guests after they get home as a way to remember the fun they had. Just last week, guests became engaged on the patio at Alpen Glow. That is what makes this a great... More

We only stayed one night and it rained hard that evening so we didn't get to walk around the grounds although we would have loved to. The place was clean and comfortable and I would definitely go back. More

This is the biggest problem I would have staying at our cabins! Once you arrive and settle in, feel the magic, listen to the birds singing, pick the wonderful blackberries and plums in season now, sit by the river... to have to leave soon would break my heart. Thank you so much for taking the time to post your comments! More

Our family rented the Alpen Glow Lodge for an annual family fishing trip for four generations of our family. Everyone had a great time and really enjoyed the incredible views and river right out the back door of the lodge. We found everything that the owners had represented in their web page not only to be completely accurate but if... More

This guest is a big time fisher in a family that also lives to fish. We love their fish-eat-sleep approach to life. No wonder they're so happy! More

Heidi and Steph have created an absolutely delightful setting to enjoy family time on the Trinity River. We arrived early and our gracious hosts kindly welcomed us and let us hang out on the deck and have lunch while they ensured that our cabin was immaculately clean for our stay. Steph patiently pointed out a fishing hole to our son... More

We don't get to travel nearly as much as we'd like to, but we know what we'd appreciate as guests here, and really try to provide it. We attract good people who have often gone out of their way to find--and connect--with us. This family is a perfect example. I am not supposed to, but I can name each of... More

this was a great place for our group. the cabin was spacious. we all had enough room to sleep inside or out. sleeping out was a great option, warm nights, and the night sky was epic! looking forward to coming back in february for my father's 75th birthday. he saw the pictures of the winter fishing, and to say the... This is the fourth time we have stayed at Trinity River Adventure inn. Heidi and Steph are the best!!! We have never found better hosts at any B&B! I still remember out first stay...we arrived at 11:30p, wine, cheese, and crackers ready for a late night snack after a 6 hour drive! In the am we were on the river... More

The cabin was spotless, extremely homey and comfortable. Very picturesque with a fantastic view of the river below. Hosts were wonderful. Out of 5 places we stayed on the trip, this was by far our favorite! More

The downside to these guests was their brief stay. He found us online and a connection was made, though, and we've been emailing ever since. They will be back for winter steelhead and I plan to bake something special to celebrate their return! More
