The Inn at Mavericks is located on a side street in Princeton By The Sea, just a couple miles north of Half Moon Bay, and while it is a bit challenging to actually find it, once there, you appreciate the search! Positioned literally on the Harbor frontage the Inn is small, possibly only 8 or 10 rooms. It is a... More

My wife and I lived in Half-Moon Bay back in the 1990's and we were driving from Carmel to Yosemite so we decided to stay in HMB for a night. We chose The Inn at Mavericks because it looked kind of cool and it was right on the water. When we got there, we found an envelope with our name... More

We had a great stay at the Inn at Mavericks Monday night - but too short. Wish we had more time to enjoy the beautiful room and gorgeous view. We stayed in the Mavericks room and it was fabulous - one of the most comfortable beds I have EVER slept in. There was wine and chocolates and snacks waiting for... More

Hello, My name is Moises Anaya. I have celebrated my Honeymoon 12/18/2011 and My first year anniversary 12/18/2012 at the Inn at mavericks! My Wife and I enjoyed the sound of the fog horn so we don't use the ear plugs that the Inn does provide. The Rest room is Wonderful specially if you like to soak in the tub!... More

We stayed here last October. Sadly, it was a very foggy week. :( The room itself is gorgeous. Very spacious (even the bathroom!), warm, with sliding glass door and huge windows ~ letting the Bay views in. We're more of a B&B type of travelers, but we appreciate beautiful Inns like the Mavericks. The room rate did not include breakfast,... More

Hotel accommodations in Half Moon Bay are a mixed bag. There are high end places like the Ritz Carlton and also the lower end chains like Comfort Inn. The Inn at Mavericks falls in the middle and it was a huge relief to find a place that would allow dogs over the Christmas holiday (extra charge of $25 per day... More

Thank you for your comments and I am glad you enjoyed your stay! The only thing I would like to mention is the Pet fee is a one time fee of $25, it is not per day. Best Wishes, Allen More

What I liked most about our visit to Half Moon Bay was staying at Inn At Mavericks and being able to walk a block and have multiple restaurants to select from, a couple of really nice late-night music venues, rent a kayak or paddle-board or stroll the wharf. When you are done you get to come back to an elegant... More

We spent our 35th Wedding anniversary here! It was a delight to have so much room to spread out in. The colors and decor were very relaxing. I did not like the foghorn one bit. The management graciously provides ear plugs, however if you're a light sleeper you should bring heavy duty ones. The bed was okay, had valleys in... More

We decided to go on a belated anniversary/birthday trip, and chose Half Moon Bay as our destination. When looking for a place to stay, I thought that The Inn at Mavericks sounded like the perfect spot...and we were not disappointed! The room was amazing. What a beautiful inn and the view is to die for! the patio for dogs is great tho my dogs preferred the empty field next door! Attention to detail , doggie treats, snacks in the room, really special! BUT, no smoking, not even at the firepit. Allen the manager very engaged, very caring! Beautiful rooms, great decor, but we found... More
