We stayed in the Golden Voyager unit with full kitchen. Breathtaking views, unit was very clean, bed was very comfy. Peace and tranquility with no phones, radio or TV. Staff was very friendly and accommodated a late check out request. It was delightful to have breakfast delivered and the food was good. The Saturday wine/cheese reception was nice and we... More

My wife spent three days in the Bath Suite at this inn. We loved the high ceilings, loft jacuzzi, great view, and amazing breakfast. We were lucky enough to watch a large group of otters playing in the water. We were fascinated by how fast they could jump through the water. The staff is very friendly, and helped out in... More

When our daughter decided to get married at our small vacation cabin in Anchor Bay CA we searched reception locations all around the area. We were having a sit down dinner for 60. We ended up renting the whole Whale Watch Inn for the weekend. It was much more cost effective than housing our out-of-town guests all over town, finding... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights (in the Cliffside room). I booked it because from the pictures online it seemed to have the best view, and it did not disappoint!! From our deck we had the beautiful (though slightly obstructed because of trees) view of the ocean and beach private beach below. We got the view sunsets... More

Stayed at the Whale Watch Inn for one night...wished it had been a little longer. Great staff, breathtaking views and a very tasty warm breakfast brought right to your room! The weather was amazing, so we were able to have breakfast on the balconey, which was wonderful. Though we didn't have time, the fireplace was ready to go when we... More

Dead bugs on windowsills, baseboards, and walls. Old, stained sheets. Furnishings shabby, pictures and decor in general looked like they had hung since the 1970's. Faded silk flowers, thin greyish towels. I wanted to leave but we were locked in 2 night minimum. Place gave me the willies. The Bay Window seat is wood covered by carpet -- no cushioning.... More

Arriving at the Whale Watch Inn was the end of a long day of driving up from Monterrey (with another 4 days of driving ahead of us) and it was just what we needed. A friendly reception, although we were late arrivals. A fireplace in the room to offset the slightly cool and grey weather. A deck, surrounded by trees,... More

Yes the location is the next best thing to Kaui and instead of spending a day flying enjoy it here, it's like Heaven. The staff was more caring, attentive and accomadating than any I have experiened and I travel often. They felt like a warm loving family. The breakfasts are out of this world even taking into considerations dietary restrictions.... More

We stayed two nights and enjoyed them both. We were there to celebrate the start of our romance 39 years ago. We enjoyed the fireplace in the room and beautiful view. We might have enjoyed it a little more when the weather was warmer but it was a nice stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delivered hot at... More

My wife and I have found this to be our favorite getaway. Next best thing to Maui for us, but more convenient. Expect to be treated with comfort and plan your stay around being secluded as if you were on a remote island and you will have the best time. If you are a picky breakfast eater let them know... More
