2nd time I have stayed here for business. Rooms are quiet, not your normal run of the mill hotel room. Alternative layouts and all suites. Will defiantly stay here each time I'm in Fresno for work.

The San Joaquin Suites are inviting from the street. The side street lined with tall fruit bearing orange trees are a nice touch.
You have a choice between renovated and non-renovated rooms. The cost difference is significant. Choose renovated. Night and day. Non are smelly, with worn bed mattresses (very uncomfortable), carpets, and tired furnishings.
The refurbished rooms are stylish...

Don't know where, the previous reviewer, Maria, stayed but it was not this place. It was beautiful inside and out. Clean, beautifully designed and decorated. Fully equipt with plates, glasses, flatware, pots and pans. Three TV's and I asked for a DVD player and it was delivered and set up. Bathroom had a shower and a bathtub. Front staff and...

I travel regularly on business and I'm always looking to save my organization money, especially on hotels. I booked this hotel because I my husband and I had stayed before and the room was nice. I was aware that some of the rooms had been remodeled but there were a few that were not. I asked the attendant if my...

We came here after visiting Monterery & Carmel - Carmel is stunning. Recommend you also stop as we did at Casa De Fruit - lovely family outing with home produced food & wine based on local produce. We were also perfectly based here to go to Yosemite NP which is stunning & go a bit further over the high sierras(11,000feet...

Loved this little boutique hotel. The suites were fantastic - and so was the price! Great pool, nice gardens, fountains, and statues all right off Shaw Ave which will get you back and forth to the University and other Fresno locations. Don't hesitate, if you're in Fresno for business, pleasure, or just visiting, this place is a no-brainer.
I grew up in Fresno so I was familiar with the location which was perfect for my stay while attending my high school reunion. The outside of the "suite" hotel looked nice, as did the reception area. The pool area was very nice, as was the atrium where a nice breakfast was served. BUT, the room was horrible. Furniture was...

I booked this hotel online as it provided the perfect stop over for our roadtrip between San Francisco, Yosemite Park and Las Vegas.
On arrival, we were taken aback by the beauty of the reception area and hotel courtyard which has a lovely pool in the middle of a beautifully cared for garden. Stunning setting!
Hence our expectation of the...

I was definitely on the fence about this hotel when reading the comments left by past guests, but something kept telling me to check it out anyway on my own. So I called the hotel and the agent was very helpfull while explaining the differences between the two types of rooms that they offerd. She sensed my reluctance and she...

After looking at the hotel website photos the hotel looked like a great value. But once we got there it was a completely different story!
The hotel is basically an old apartment complex they have made into a hotel. The room they booked us in had plaster missing from the wall, the sheet rock wasn't finished from where they must...
