This was a great find. The rooms were newly modernized, staff was very helpful, the ambiance is great...wonderful lobby with fireplace and original pirate painting over the mantle. The restaurant was not open but was scheduled to be operating by the end of the month. The new owner is taking his time and money to do things right. Thank goodness... More

I enjoyed my stay at Eureka Inn very much and would highly recommend it to anybody. Although it is in a state of (dis)repair, and does not match the quality that it did thirty years ago, I think it is still a good place to stay. It is obviously an out-dated, (but is being renovated) old Inn, but has stood... More

Do not expect anything fancy, but do expect to step back in time and just enjoy the ambiance of what was once a beautiful hotel. The fireplace in the lobby is beautiful, as is the rest of the architecture in the public places. They do have a lot more rehabbing to do.....pool is off limits, etc.

Well, I guess the new owners think they are building the great wall of China. If they are rehabing, you might see the results in the next century. Hardest bed I ever slept on. Had to take the pillows (Thank god they had extra pillows) and layed on top of bed in order to get asleep. Very, very bad for... More

Luxurious beds, clean, no bugs, in an old 1900's building. We stayed in a room above the bar, and although people went outside to smoke and talk, everything died down around 10:30 or 11. If you are a light sleeper I would have a room on the other side, but we really enjoyed the front part as a family. You... More

I have mixed feelings about our stay at the Eureka Inn. My husband and I found great humor in feeling we were in a Scooby Doo hotel and would run into 'the gang' at any turn. The front desk clerk was jumpy -- claiming to hear ghosts and unexplained noises. We found her amusing. The room was clean, although it... More

Looked like a quaint place to stay but after looking at two rooms, I decided it was too creepy, dark, and dirty. The website says it was recently renovated and reopened in 2010. Looks like they bought all of the furnishings from garage sales and thrift stores. Carpets were dirty, etc etc... I felt like Jack Nicholson was going to come... More

Great affordable piece of history. Just right for the price pf $72/ night. Huge comfy bed, very nice staff, adorable swanky hotel bar, and a toilet seat that needed to be burned. Would have given 5 stars if they replaced that icky toilet seat.

The service is not good! had to change rooms because it was too hot in the room with Sun shinning In. the rooms have no A.C, No fans,no ice Machine in hallway. the place is to old, dark and Moldy, the carpets are dirty and stained. the place reminded me of a very old retirement home, reek with urine smell.... This was the MOST DISGUSTING place I have ever stayed in my life. Bandaids on the wall. Hair all over the bathroom. Backed up drains in the shower and sinks. Moldy. No fitted sheet on the bed, I pulled back the covers to reveal a {shudder} bare mattress. If I didn't have a child and nowhere else to go, I... More
