Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pro: Location, we can get in the park within 10 mins. Con: The WiFi is not complimentary, it cost 9.99 for 24 hrs. And it is strictly limited to 2 devices, that is you cannot disconnect and pass it to the third one. You have to buy two passcode if you have more than 3 people. But the speed is promising.

We were so disappointed in the extremely UNHELPFUL staff. We arrived on Thanksgiving Day around 7:30 pm after driving for 6 hours, the last couple in the dark. While checking in, I asked the girl what time the restaurant closed. She didn't know-it is a separate company. I asked for their phone number. She didn't have it. It was literally on the property, and she didn't have/couldn't look up the phone number? Correct. There is also no cell service, so finding the number on our own was not an option. No thanks to her, we made it for dinner 10 minutes before they closed. While at the desk, there was another guest unhappy about her accommodations. The male clerk and the female clerk who was so unhospitable then started talking to each other in spanish-extremely rude! The next morning my husband went into the lobby to buy a cup of coffee. There were 4 employees behind the desk goofing off and all the coffee dispensers were empty. So, we had to waste some precious daylight while someone made coffee. He mentioned it to the assistant manager and it was clearly not important. I called the following Monday and got a very concerned general manager, Ulysses, who was going to investigate and call me back the next day. Didn't happen. I called another 3 times, but he refused to take my calls. They are happy to take your money, and then you're on your own. I wouldn't stay here again, and I would definitely NOT recommend it.

Great location. Beds are comfy. Loved having a mini kitchen in our room. Hotel is a bit dated and walls are super thin. A few things that could be better: - if you’re going to charge $10/day for WiFi, it needs to work. Ours was super spotty and worked best in the bathroom. - kitchenette has a coffee maker with terrible coffee, yet no filters. We brought our own coffee but couldn’t find filters anywhere that would fit. - it would be nice, since housekeeping isn’t daily, to have a little broom or handheld vacuum and some surface spray. My guess is we used our kitchenette more than most and my toddler made quite the mess. I would 100% stay here again at Yosemite.

Best feature is short distance to park entrance. Functional units. Good space. Good lighting. Good working table and chairs. Kitchen facilities. Like most older properties near a national park, it shows a lot of wear and tear. Plumbing fixtures had definitely seen better days. Even towels and bedding seemed old.

You are paying a premium for one thing only - location. The accommodation is tired, even poor. The staff on reception are even poorer, couldn't give a fig about customer service. 'TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT' attitude just sucked. Yosemite is awesome, this place is garbage - especially at the over inflated price, but you just have to suck it up as there is so little choice nearby.

Location is excellent for access to Yosemite. Rooms are a bit tired. Had room overlooking the river and that was a nice way to start the day with a cup of coffee! Beds were comfortable. Room had a fireplace, fridge, microwave and stovetop. Dishwashing detergent is supplied. Market at hotel carries quite a bit of grocery items. Did not eat at either of the 2 restaurants.

Great location close to entrance to Yosemite. Literally 2 miles to gates. We stayed in one of the loft rooms that had a kitchenette. Plenty of space, partially updated. Kitchenette was ok. A little dirty. Didn’t have any kitchen towels or paper towels. Minimal items available. Not really set up for any cooking. Warming up stuff that’s already prepared is the limit. Wi-Fi was extra and billed through a separate company. It worked ok,only 2 devices allowed per connection. They have a large gift shop with a mini grocery store in lobby.

This place BADLY needs an update! Some positives ... - Location, Location, Location! This is why we paid the HIGH price. - It has Family Rooms, so it could house our family of 5. - The Lobby store has EVERYTHING you need and at a good price. - The servers at the restaurant were friendly and helpful. The negatives... everything else.! - Although the rooms are good size that's about all I can say. The rooms are rundown and disgusting. Our room was above an indoor pool and our balcony looked over a driveway and below us were the outdoor hot tubs. The room smelled like chlorine and it felt like we were staying in the pool. - The bathrooms are gross. You can tell they've tried to update a few things, like the light up mirror but everything else is so run down. There was mold in the shower/ bath tub, cracked tile and old fixtures. The bathtub was a jetted, dusty rose tub that looked like it was put in in the 70's. The carpets were dirty, linens and pillows need an update too... Think Motel 6 for the price of a Hyatt. - The restaurants food was awful. You could tell it was 'reheated' frozen food. I felt like I was on an episode of Gordon Ramsey. Unfortunately, for the high price, you would have expected more. We lasted only 3 nights (booked for 5) and ended up leaving early. Won't be back.

The hotel is directly outside the park and very secluded. No restaurant options other than the hotel if your hungry you have to eat at the pizza place or the American place limited menu and pricy. No free breakfast $21.99 a person buffet breakfast not much variety for that price again no other choice if hungry. After staying at many hotels around the world this was one of the bottom rated ones. No free Wi-Fi they charge you $10.00 for a 24 hour period asking about this at the front desk it was described to me that the Wi-Fi is provided by a third company that’s why the charge it’s very easy to install routers in each building we are in 2023 modern times from the third party company and just charge a little more for the room. Coffee makers in the room but no coffee. Spiders in the bathroom shown in photos. Flat pillows no support. Had a two night reservation had to cancel the second night and headed home. It’s too bad for such a nice location that they can’t do better on everything I listed above. 👎🏼

Check in was easy. No wifi or phone service unless you pay $10 extra but then you only get 2 devices. Free game room was a great perk but could use some maintenance. Room clean but toilet paper holder was broken. Room service was 5 stars. On site gift and convenience store was nice.
