This motel is very run down. We requested a room with two people one bed. Said they could only put us in a room with three beds and only charge us for one bed. The room smelled like a gas leak even after we opened the windows. Went back to the office and requested if another room was available and... More

flew into Reno, headed toward Mt. Lassen, and stayed at the Seneca Motel one night before summiting Lassen the next day, and driving on to Mt. Shasta City in June '09. Looks like it's family run, and they had at least two cats. Sweet. The motel is off the highway, so it loses the traffic noise. It is quaint from... More

My boyfriend and his family stay at this hotel when they come up to Chester for opening day of Duck Season. This was my first year going and they thought that I would find it to be lacking quality and shabby but I didn't at all! The room was clean, and everything was in good order. We were in a... More

Nothing's changed to make me disagree with the other reviews. My room was $55 with tax and it should've been much less. More

Absolutely nothing should be saved.....quiet until the people in the room next to yours started talking.....full kitchen but nothing in it to cook in or eat off of, kind of useless. The cat was the only friendly thing there. More

Owners were pretty grouchy, room was dark and needed a little sprucing up. Bathroom functional but worn. Huge kitchen given the size of the room overall. I like staying in non-chain motels and like quirky ones but this was just unloved, a little grubby and the fairly strong whiff of gas from the heating system meant it defnitely didn't get... More

We stopped here are we needed a place to stay after a long drive, but if you can carry on just a few hundred yards down the road as there were places that looked better. This motel is run down and very dated. All the furniture and flooring looks like it is straight out of the 1970's, and our room... More

i stayed here one night because my favorite motel in chester (the cedar lodge) was fully booked. this motel was minimally acceptable. it was on a quiet street off the highway and the room had a full kitchen: fridge, microwave, stove, kitchen sink, table and chairs. the room was generally clean but dreary, with old furniture and a dirty rug.... This motel does not meet basic standards. The rate was $65 (plus tax), which is highway robbery for a place that is so rundown. It's the kind of place you'd expect to get for about $30 a night. The carpeting was threadbare and loose (a hazard). The floor under the toilet was rotting. The flooring in the bathroom was covered... More
