We were in our room around 5:00, about to head out to dinner and noticed our heat wasn't working. We called the front desk and told them about it and they said they would take care of it and we headed out to dinner. We got back to our room around 1 in the morning and it was freezing in... More

We recently stayed at the Carmel Valley Lodge for a large family wedding. Would highly recommend this place, we had a wonderful time, the staff were always going out of their way to help. Beautiful location, and wonderfully kept facilities. Many options of room types to suit all sizes of parties. Would certainly go back again.

In town for a wedding and didn't get a chance to really enjoy our time there but it was nice, clean and the pool looked great(we had perfect weather). The room was spacious and clean, maybe a little dated but totally fits with the area and style of the property. Service was friendly and helpful, they even had the beautiful,... More

Stayed in a 2BR/2BA cottage for one night in Oct with 3 girlfriends. Was the perfect setup for us -- twin beds in 1BR and queen in another. There was a sofabed in the LR too, but we didn't bother using it. The additional area with sink/mirror/hairdryer was very handy for getting ready. About the same price as two simple... More

We recently stayed at this charming property to attend a family wedding the valley. The accommodations had been reserved for us so we did not know what to expect--but we were very delighted. Our two room place was really a stand alone apartment complete with kitchen and dining room. Sweet! To top it all off the fireplace even had a... More

This little lodge has the ambience of an old fashioned roadside inn. While the decor of the rooms hearkens back to another age, the quality is certainly current. The staff is engaging and helpful and the simple breakfast in the bright and warm dining room is the perfect way to start a day enjoying the next great wine region of... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and couldn't believe how amazing everything was. Our room (which was more like a cottage) was stunning. Finally...a room where everything makes sense (proper lighting in every room, fireplace, outlets on the night table, Kurig coffee maker, fridge, flat screen TVs, deluxe bathroom)... nothing was missing! Not to mention stunning views from our balcony!... More

My husband, daughter and I stayed here for a short family vacation and loved it. On the advice of previous travelers, we booked an upgraded room, and were very pleased. The decor is attractive but functional. The unit was in excellent condition and spotless. We enjoyed soaking up the sun (or taking the shade) on the front and back porches... More

The room we had and others we saw were about 40 years old. Especially for the price I would have expected furniture/ambience a little less dated. Be sure to ask if there are upgraded rooms before you book. Even so, the staff, breakfast, and restaurants in town that you can walk to were very nice.

My husband and I have been going to Carmel Valley Lodge for 10 years and we will keep going back. We have stayed many places on the Monterey Peninsula, but this has become our favorite. Carmel Valley is its own little world and completely different from Carmel-by-the-Sea, Monterey and Pacific Grove. The main difference is the weather, which is warmer... More
