We were very happy that we chose this B&B establishment during our Paro Festival visit. We liked our clean, nice room, ensuite bathroom with proper shower and hot water, and a very friendly owner, Karma, who always made the effort of attending to our needs, especially during meal times. The food was tasty, a mix of Bhutanese and Indian cuisine... More

This isn't a review of the lodge per se, but the management. Because of an unavoidable reason of our own we could not stay at Nivvana despite having secured a booking a few weeks in advance. The Host, Karma was extremely understanding to our cause, congenial and polite. We did however have a chance to glance at the lodge which... More

We choose Nivvana for our stay in Paro since we wanted to experience traditional bhutanese home-stay and we really cherished every moment at Nivvana with Karma (Owner). The rooms were clean and comfortable with basic facilities and the staff was extremely courteous. Karma personally looked after my family, especially my parents and parents-in-laws. Along with her excellent staff and cook,... More

Before going to the details let me summarize upfront: One of the very best Home Stay/Guest House we have been (we have been to quite some…). Hospitality, cleanliness, accommodativeness and view from the rooms: all these are top notch. Add to that the host’s abundant knowledge on the country, culture and locale which makes for some interesting fire place talk.... More

The hotel is beautiful. The entrance hall is so beautiful that it has been used in multiple Bhutanese movies. The atmosphere is like a house because the place is not so big. I enjoyed the pancakes in the morning a lot. My wife tries to make them that way at home too now. The room was spacious and had great... More

We stayed at Nivvana Lodge for the last 3 days of our trip to Bhutan. After trekking and a lot of sightseeing, Nivvana Lodge was the best place to be. Although we enjoyed our time in Bhutan, we were not happy at all with Bhutanese kitchen. When we arrived at this lodge, we were very hungry after 10 days of... More
