our family has been coming to south lake to vacation, fish, and hike for more than 50 years. this is the first time we stayed at Parchers Resort. The cabin was newer, very compact (bunk beds, 1 queen, one pull out sofabed), and only one bathroom (through the only bedroom). good thing we were family! the plates/glasses could have used... More

My family has been enjoying Parchers Resort since the early 1970's, maybe not every year as we also enjoy tent camping down the road at Four Jeffrey. We have experienced at least five changes of ownership in those forty years, and the present owners, the Smith family, are not only the best by far, they honestly deserve it! Jared Smith... More

We stayed for two nights on a recent weekend in RV site #2. Although listed as a 34' site, we were able to squeeze our 35' fifth wheel in with no problems. The resort is very clean and well maintained, has a nice general store and friendly staff. Speaking of the staff, they allowed us to stay in the campground... More

If your soul needs a lift and your family wants some soothing, media free, bonding time then Parcher's will deliver. This little village of cabins is tucked away between two streams just down the road from South Lake. The scenery alone is worth the trip but the cabins are clean and cute and the staff are friendly and helpful and... More

exactly what you need to access the trails and lakes in surrounding area. the staff is super friendly and helpful, and bring firewood to cook on the large open firepit in front of your cabin. what a pleasure this place is! enjoy! central to everything up in the mountains.

Four of us, two couples, recently spent four nights in Cabin #20, near the top or entrance to the place. We chose it for the size and kitchen, also since one of us had a freshly broken foot, and the cabin was accessible without stairs. #20 is just above the smaller creek, and taking a chair and good book 20... My friends and I just got back from our yearly trip to Bishop Lake and a stay at Parchers Resort. While the cabins were newer and pleasant the service left MUCH to be desired. When we entered the office to ask about an early check-in we walked into a heated and sarcastic conversation between an employee (young man about 26... More

Based mainly on its remote location and setting, this has to be one of the best cabin-resorts we've ever stayed at. Nestled high among countless groves of Aspen trees in Alpine country, this was the perfect place for us to do some high Alpine hiking. The cabin looked to be farily new, and well kept. We stayed in Cabin 9,... More
