Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Arrived on Christmas day for a 6 night stay, we stayed in a 1 bedroom Chalet. The first thing I noticed when we walked into the cabin was that the cleaning crew forgot to clean this cabin. We had a fork in the sink, no dish soap, and 2 sheets on the paper towel roll. The bathroom was the worst. The shower curtain looks like it has never been cleaned. Shower curtain with mold on the bottom, not healthy.

I think it was my most peaceful holiday ever. The location of the hotel is amazing. It was very enjoyable to walk around the lake. Our cozy chalet among the trees was very comfortable. Having dog-friendly chalets was a very important detail for us. So we had the opportunity to have a holiday with our pet. The rooms were clean and had everything needed. It was great to wake up every morning to the sounds of birds and breathe in the wonderful scent of the trees. I am grateful to the Pines Resort team for this beautiful holiday💕

We came to The Pines Resort for a wedding. It is a beautiful location. We stayed in a cabin which was basic but ok for our short stay. Good food options and amenities nearby. The southern end of Yosemite isn't too far away and definitely worth a visit (AMAZING!). They aren't lying at check-in when they say watch out for bears (definitely encountered a few but kept our distance!). Made our trip memorable (also beautiful wedding venue!)

We were at the Pines for two nights for a wedding. We stayed in a hotel suite, it was a good size, lots of space to spread out. The kitchenette is not well stocked which makes using it hard. There are no plates or silverware provided. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean. The fittings are older and the place is rustic but also a little aged. It is however, like stepping back in time to a simpler vacation. Lots of outdoor spaces, a great location to access Yosemite. The grocery store on site is well stocked. Our breakfast at Ducey’s was very good.

Our trip to Pines Resort at Bass Lake was the best ever. We stayed in their Chalet and it was in a great setting with trees all around. The resort was in great shape and close to the national parks. The drive up from Fresno was quick and the roads were great.

Cute and cozily laid out group of chalet duplexes. Rustic, but has everything one needs for a wonderful stay. Excellent launch point for Yosemite. Right on the lake. Restaurants on-site. A couple of suggestions include more pillows please, larger drinking glasses, and guests should be notified ahead of time that chalets are two stories. Beautiful, beautiful surroundings.

Beautiful lake, cute cabins nestled in pine forest. Lots of water fun to be had, and staff at reception super proactive and helpful when we had car issues. The breakfasts are fantastic and the pool a bonus. Thanks Pines Team for a lovely stay. The evening entertainment at lake side restaurant a must!

We had a two night stay here as part of a package tour with Riviera Travel who arranged this booking. We had a log Chalet Cabin on top of a hill, someway and a steep hill to walk from the restaurant. However it gave us a very good sunrise view over looking the woods and a small section of the lake. This is an excellent location and for family holidays in the Spring/Summer. Our cabin was spacious and extremely comfortable over two floors, and we had no problem in sleeping well. The a la carte restaurant for breakfast came to 20 dollars each and was extremely good and well presented by the very good and friendly local staff. Very good atmosphere everywhere and Reception staff again most helpful, welcoming and friendly. We would definitely recommend this Resort, and it’s location for Yosemite National Park.

Had a great time at the Pines! I love how dog-friendly the property is & how close it is to Yosemite National Park. Stayed in a 2-bed Chalet and was able to make my own meals, relax on a balcony & light a fire. Can't wait to stay here again!
