Rooms: Room was dull in decor, balcony:only a railing seperating you from balcony next door so no privacy , one would feel uncomfortabe if there was a couple sitting out as you woudl be on top of them.Bed was good size and very comfortable, bathroom was well equipped. No mini bar ,no tea or coffe making facilities, five euro for a bucket of ice... I visit Ireland quite a lot, having friends and family there, and was thrilled when my sister suggested a visit to Monart. I'd heard a lot about it and was delighted to spend some time chilling out and being pampered. The entrance was a bit daunting, as you have to buzz at a private gate - but when you get... More

We stayed in monart in january 2012. It is a lovely hotel, very innovative design. It mixes old and new beautifully. On arrival, one calls through to an intercom and the gates are opened. There is then valet parking. The bedroom was very nice. In terms of overt luxury, it does not compare with the ritz Carlton in Wicklow or... More

I have been to Monart on two occasions and I am not a spa fan but would definatly recommend Monart. I think the breakfasts rank as the best in Ireland. I spent more time in the gym than the spa, but my wife did enjoy her time in the spa immensly. The dinner was good, not spectacular, but good. Bedrooms... More

Two words sum up Monart. Smug/overpriced. Don't get me wrong it's a lovely hotel and great spa but it doesn't represent value for money. Service was v patchy on our visit. It was nice to experience but would I go back, well, no. Not when there are so many other 5 star spa destinations with better value/service More

As the title suggests, this was our 3rd time to visit Monart and in short, it lived up to our memories and expectations. Hence why we keep going back. Spas are generally 'scary' places for us men folk, but not here. Upon arrival, you are greeted by a parking attendant which is that start of your relaxing stay. You are... More

I go to spa hotels in Ireland a good bit and was really excited about finally getting to visit Monart. We went as a young couple for an overnight stay midweek including dinner. - Staff: Hotel and restaurant staff were very nice and helpful. The staff at the spa reception were not very good or polite. - Rooms: The rooms... More
