We stayed in monart in january 2012. It is a lovely hotel, very innovative design. It mixes old and new beautifully. On arrival, one calls through to an intercom and the gates are opened. I have been to Monart on two occasions and I am not a spa fan but would definatly recommend Monart. I think the breakfasts rank as the best in Ireland. Two words sum up Monart. Smug/overpriced. Don't get me wrong it's a lovely hotel and great spa but it doesn't represent value for money. Service was v patchy on our visit.
