Both interior and exterior of this family home is stunning and reminded me of antebellum southern movies like "Gone with the Wind." Excellent dinner and breakfast! Delightful host and hostess! Worth the splurge!

Ballinkeele House was the highlight of our trip to Ireland. Beautiful bedrooms with period furniture, delicious and filling breakfasts, fires lit on chilly evenings (yes, in July). We were well looked after in this finely restored house. We even borrowed the dog for a walk. Couldn't recommend more highly. Plenty to do and see nearby.

Ballinkeele combines excellent food sourced locally and cooked to order by Margaret Maher. This is a beautiful estate house in the country. Our room was lovely and the food was above average. The grounds, the house, the hosts and the other guests were marvelous! Before breakfast we borrowed some Wellies and walked the grounds with the owners' dog. We only stayed one night but hope to return soon!
