I had an absolutely delightful couple of days at Abbeyvale House, where they go out of their way to make you feel at home. The house is set in the charming village of Holycross (a few miles from Thurles) and offers exceptional value and service. The rooms are all large, modern and well-equipped (I saw all of them as I... We chose this B&B based on the excellent reviews here on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. The house is well maintained and Mary decorated and furnished the house beautifully. Downstairs next to the breakfast area there is a Conservatory which is an ideal place to relax and read up on some of the sights you might be going on your... More

Mary welcomed us with tea and cookies and immediately made us feel at home. Our room was really nice and clean with a great shower. When we had breakfast (which was very good) she joined us and drank a cup of tea with us. Before we knew it a whole hour had passed. Too bad we didn't stay longer in... More

The facilities are first rate and are surpassed only by the friendliness of the hosts. Mary and Ed are very accommodating and went out of their way to make sure that we enjoyed our visit. We would absolutely stay there again if we return to Ireland.

This was our first trip to Ireland and Mary and Ed were great hosts. Whether giving directions to Ireland's many attractions, recommending a local pub or chatting with us in the evening, they always made us feel welcome. The traditonal Irish breakfast or pancakes and scones (the best!) are made to order and Mary won't let you go hungry! The... More

We stayed at this B and B with some friends because a work colleague from the UK had a birthday celebration nearby. It was our first trip to Ireland. We loved the breakfasts and Ed and Mary's very accomodating nature. It was not the best time of the year to visit if you wanted to do the scenery, but we... More

We would highly recommend this B&B. Mary makes you feel right at home with tea/coffee when we arrived in the late afternoon and delicious home made bread & cakes. The location was excellent for our needs as there for a family christening just down the road. A few minutes drive into Thurles, which by the way is the nearest ATM.... More

Ed and Mary make you feel right at home with tea/coffee in the late afternoon and delicious breakfasts made just for you. The location is excellent, affording access to Thurles, Cashel, Cahir and Tipperary Town. The home is spotless and nicely decorated and a very comfortable place to be. You will feel like you've known your hosts for years and... More

We only stayed one night due to travel arrangements but love staying with Mary and Ed, it was our second visit, they are very welcoming and extremely friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Home is very spacious and comfortable and location is great. Thanks to Mary and Ed for a great visit

this B&B, situated a few miles north of Cashel in the village of Holycross has all the qualities that a traveller could be looking for: at a rather moderate rate you get a very nice room, an extremely friendly and helpful hostess and all the quiet that you need for a good night´s rest; the breakfast was excellent and the...
