Just to clear things up we didnt stay we had lunch in the bar it was very poor to be honest the soup was in a tiny cup/bowl you'd give it to a child not a grown man & my steak sandwhich was very disappointing there was WAY too much mustard in it the fillings were literally just thrown in... More

Thank you for your review. The soup bowls are a standard size (we would not save anything by giving less) The mustard should have been served on the side and for this I apoligize and for the manner of the staff member at the bar. Tom More

Everything in the hotel was excellent with the exception of the broadband and Wi-Fi. The connection keep dropping me after a few minutes and the broadband speed was very poor. The cellular signal was very poor as well, meaning that calls dropped and I could not tether for data. For a business traveller this is a big concern.

Thank you for your review. I noted that you were here on the 14th May and the day after we actually changed over to a new system (at great expense) which is excellent, so on your next visit I hope you will find a huge differance and we would appreciate any feedback. Tom More

Stopped here for lunch and enjoyed the nice environment of the restaurant/bar. Enjoyed the great atmosphere at the fireplace. Nice staff, quick service and the food was more that good. This place is definitely worth to stop when you are traveling through Ireland.

Firstly I must stay that we didn't stay here , we (two families) stopped for a meal between Cork and Dublin. Everything about the bar food was reasonably good except for the price. We couldn't help but feel that if main courses were €2.00 to €3.00 cheaper it would be the perfect motorway stop off. It was busy while we... More

I love this hotel, and I stop there many times during the year, on my way from cork to Dublin. Thy are always making improvements and I find it to be very comfortable place to stop to eat and take time. They have a choice of a great coffee shop, of the cosy bar. Thank you for your review and I am pleased you like our hotel even though you were unhappy with your recent visit. Our creamy mushroom sauce is made from a bechemal sauce which is common in all white sauces and is flour based. Our Irish cappoquin chickens are cooked fresh every morning and then preprepared with stuffing and ham.The chef could... Travelling last week between Ireland's two capitals - Dublin and Cork - broke the journey at the Horse & Jockey in Co. Tipp - Glad I did. Comfortable... Friendly... Had some drinks (I wasn't the driver!!!) and a little food - great homely atmosphere. God variety, something for everyone, tasty and good value. This is not so much a criticism... More
