We were booked at the Amalia chain through a Globus tour. This location is isolated from the city of Naupia and there are no nearby shops. Further, the hotel itself lacks an adequate shop for sundries, etc. The hotel, which is quite large, is owned by a tour company and is designed for bus tour groups. The food for groups was... More

Beautiful hotel. Nice large rooms. Good food in buffet. Lovely pool area & grounds. Only complaint is it's quite far from town so not easily walk-able.

Stayed 1 night here in October as part of a conducted tour of Greek historical sites. The hotel is large with very good common areas. The rooms are a bit tired and dated and could do with refurbishment, but were fine for an overnight stopover. Had dinner and breakfast buffets at the hotel and these were good. The hotel is... More

Most of what has been written in the reviews below is true. We stayed at this hotel because we were two adults and three children and finding a room or connecting room in the city proper was impossible. Also, in retrospect we were happy we stayed here because we were on a long trip and had four extremely large and... More

This was a great spot for Nafplio. This was the most convenient hotel of our trip. Affordable connecting rooms made this a very comfortable spot for our family. We booked early to get good rates. The pool was huge and enjoyed everyday by our kids and us. Breakfast buffet was huge and convenient. We had a rental car and so... More

Stayed there many times in the past and i still choose it due to its peacefull atmosphere after a business day which makes you very tired. Very spacious rooms with nice garden view and the castle of Palamidi a kitke bit far away, anyway. Very good initial design as the functionality of sites, and proportions of tumors. More than sufficient... More

My wife and I stayed there for two nights at a modest rate, b'fast included, in off-season, late October, 2010, were very pleased with hotel and town and would gladly return. This Amalia is a large, resort-style hotel of three stories with large, polished public rooms and large, clean private ones as well. It had surely been renovated at millions-plus... More

This hotel employs probably the least helpful staff in Greece. No taxis due to strike, but no, we do not supply ANY form of transport to take you the 6kms to Napflion. You want to go to Epidaurus? Make me laugh!! No, don't hold your breath waiting for the Amalia to suggest ANY transport to this ancient theatre. If you... More

This hotel is located far (about 20 min drive) from Nafplion city center. Otherwise the rooms are big and clean. The bathroom is also big and clean. The pool is very good, and the view from the pool side is lovely. The buffet breakfast was very good and the dinner was also good. The staff was pleasant. Another down side... More
