I was impressed with the hotel decor and the presentation of their rooms, indeed, it was an unique and different experience for my husband and myself. The rooms were big and spacious. The rooms had a good space of sofas that allowed us to chill. The service was impressive, my room had a pipe that was leaking, upon calling the... More

Where to begin? -Getting deathly sick, after partaking in their food & beverage service- is one item. -Having their security guard demand a 5 Dinar tip- for showing me the way to a local convenience store. -My first night, @10:30PM- the staff barging in my room with 4security officers; demanding to search my room... Followed by a meticulous inspection of... More

My family and i stayed in this hotel while we visited the "pink city" PETRA! the hotel is so pretty!! it is architecture mimics a Bedouin village and blends beautifully with the landscape and views. It is truly a magical hotel, the staff is super friendly, the restaurant is ok, but full of traditional local food. I do have to... More

We stayed with a family of 5 for two nights at the Taybet Zamman, be aware that this is a few kilometers from Petra, so you need your own car or a taxi ride. We stayed two nights and the Hotel setting is absolutely stunning, the moment we walked in, after our long day driving the King's Highway and many... More

We staid at this hotel for 2 nights at the beginning of April, as part of our short tour of Jordan. As other reviewers have observed, there are no hotels in Petra itself, you can stay right outside (probably paying a lot more), or about 10 minutes' drive away. This hotel used to be a Jordanian village and it's certainly... More

This is designed as an old Jordanian village and is very nicely done. The restaurant is great and the swimming pool good. There rooms seem to vary and it wasn't very busy when we were there (it was the end of the season) so I would certainly ask to see other options if you don't have a view. Having said... More

This hotel was very popular in the 90s, so their notices say. The village concept sort of works and our room and bathroom were absolutely fine. The food was good - particularly liked the Umm Ali pudding - like a bread and butter pudding but more interesting. It is out of the way of Wadi Musa and Petra, though the... More

The rooms need serious updating. Bathrooms on verge of unpleasant. Shower head hung on a loose bolt that had already been relocated twice. Linens and blankets bread are. Buffet restaurant food is so-so. Staff tried, of course, there isn't a woman to be seen working around (they probably clean the rooms). Don't really care about tv, but you better not;... More

We stayed two nights there last week and despite really looking forward to staying there after so many positive trip advisor reviews, we were very unimpressed. Whilst the hotel has a lot of character, there is nothing to do for children. The TV in both rooms were very old with very fuzzy pictures and only BBC world to watch. Swimming... More

Lovely old rustic hotel, not easy to find without satnav at night. Had a lovely room, clean and roomy with character. Buffet evening meal excellent with plenty of choice and staff friendly. Shame foggy night we stayed as could not see the view which is supposed to be something. Would recommend even though a few miles from Petra, but no... More
