Needing to detox from the noise of everyday life, I chose this retreat house due to its remote location. The drive to it was exquisitely beautiful, and tho it takes eight dirt miles to get there, every mile helped me let go of stress and prepare for my retreat. I could not have been happier. My needs were completely satisfied.... More

The extremely long and treacherous road to get there is bad enough, but then you also don't know whether there will be any water in the "river front" property. The Lodge and the Cottage are right across from each other and there isn't much privacy. The people there do not like strangers in their little community too. More

The fam and I wanted to see some Autumn leaves this year (you know, the brightly colored things we don't have in Texas).
