The service is very poor. No any service mind for hospitality. Challenge the complaint from customer. The room is old with old TV and loudly aircondition. Shower cannot be used.

I know there are some horribly dated rooms in this hotel but I've just spent a night in one of the "Mini Superior" rooms and its really new and well appointed. Nice 32" flat screen TV with satellite TV and FREE Internet in the room via LAN cable (No WIFI messing around) through which I'm writing this review :-).

For thirty dollars a night I wasn't really expecting a palace, but after reading the reviews I must say I was pleasantly surprised. It's true that the girls at reception speak limited english, but we actually had a lot of fun talking with them. If you're after a more typically touristy experience I'm not sure that Songkhla is the place...

The GW Hotel isn't as nice (nor as expensive) as the BP Simila Beach Hotel. But it's better than the Pavillion Hotel. Some rooms at the GWH are actually nice and clean. But I have heard reports of less than stellar maid service in some rooms. Also, the maids tend to leave the balcony doors open a few inches when...

A shabby hotel with pretentions of grandeur. The rooms are extremely grubby, though the views of Songkhla Lake are good. It's also fairly inconveniently located for the interesting parts of Songkhla.
The food is TERRIBLE! Thai food as a rule is amazing, but the kitchen staff here clearly cannot cook.
I have been to a number of functions such as...

The hotel is no palace. It is old, worn, not well maintained and in dire need some serious management attention to cleanliness.
We checked in and were treated very well by the front desk staff who were attentive, friendly and helpful. The bell stand was also very service oriented and quickly delivered our bags to the room.
Our first room...
