I had researched this hotel on their website before and thought it would be a decent place to stay and because it was a fairly decent price for a standard size room. Once arriving in Bagan, I took a horse and cart and simply went straight to the hotel without a reservation. Luckily enough, there was availability and took upon... More

After first dismissing this hotel as a place to stay after reading negative reviews, we were left with no option, as everywhere else was fully booked, and what a pleasant surprise! One has to remember that this hotel is not promoting itself as five star so, for the tariff charged and the three star rating, my family and I were... More

Hotel designed with taste, temple style, red bricks. Nice gardens and breakfast/dinner area. Basic and very limited choice of food at breakfast. Room was smelling very bad (chemical repellant?), so had a bad sleep. Swimming pool is not as nice as their brochure (see picture: pool was green and dirty at that time) I think 25 USD per night is... More

This hotel was in a decent location in New Bagan and I would recommend staying here for primarily this reason alone. The staff was consistently pleasant and gave us good advice on which temples to visit. The room was adequate, but we didn't have hot water consistently throughout our three-night stay. The swimming pool was absolutely freezing cold. You can... More

We stayed a few nights at the Kaday Aung hotel. Nothing to rave about, but nothing too terrible. PROS: -Close to the temples, on the outskirt of New Bagan -Has a pool with chairs, umbrellas, and canopy structures -Offers a nightly show of puppets, dancing, and Myanmar music in the restaurant -Friendly staff, always smiling, and willing to help out.... We spent 2 nights here. The first night we got a room on the second floor, with thin wall. You can hear everything outside and from your neighbour. We only got 3 hours sleep the first night due to a big rat fight all over the ceiling, inside the wall, really noisy and i was freeking our that the rat can... More

Whilst we had a lovely trip in Myanmar and all other hotels in similar price range were very decent, Kaday Aung was by far our worst experience and clearly does not deserve some reviews on Trip Advisor. Upon arrival the hotel had been overbooked and our reservation had been lost, it took more than an hour for a completely disorganized... More

Set in lovely grounds and gardens. We were given a family room which was enormous. Very clean with comfortable beds. Bathroom not so good. We don't like cold water sinks and floors that flood when showering. Nice open air dining area with good meals. Puppet show in the evening was interesting the first time but the terrible discordant music drove... More
