The Edward Charles was in a fairly cetnral location in Mossel Bay, only a short walk down a hill to the main street and to the beach and harbour. We were pleasantly surprised at our very spacious room with a stunning view over the harbour and the HUGE bathroom. Unfortunately the jacuzzi pool was not operational - one of the reasons we had chosen this hotel. The hotel is a bit strangely configured with rooms and passages seemingly at random but we thoroughly enjoyed our one night there.

We stayed two nights in this small hotel - my husband, myself and adult daughter. It was fine, the room was large and beds were very comfortable. We had an amazing view. My wife & I stayed for two nights in early Jan 2008. The first thing we would say is that the advertising for this "Hotel" is dubious. In our view this is not an Hotel it's a large B&B.
