We used the Sedia Hotel as our base from which we made trips to the Okavango and the Kalahari. The owners are onsite and dedicated to providing a special experience for their guests. About half the guests are local (government and business people usually from Gabarone). The staff were incredibly friendly and there is lots of evidence to show they... More

We had the pleasure of staying at the Sedia on route to the Okavango Delta. We were very warmly greeted by Khumoyame and her staff and immediately felt welcomed. The reception area was warm and inviting but stepping out into the back area and seeing the pool and bar off to the right was a welcome sight after travelling on the... More

We stayed here at the beginning and end of a three week safari. The grounds are lovely with a swimmingpool and lots of exotic birds, the dining area is very attactive just be aware if you order from the menu you are unlikely to get the dish you order and you will be waiting up to an hour for it,... The Sedia was our home from home; in several weeks of trekking we came back here several nights between trips. The one-bedroomed bungalow we stayed in was comfortable and clean, reminiscent of an older style, and had a large sitting room, kitchen area and bedroom. Quiet and convenient, the staff were friendly and its a relaxing place to stay. Good... More

Of the many options to camp in maun, i choose sedia riverside hotel. the campsite is huge, split into a lower level below the ablutions which is a bit more secluded and nearer the going's on of the overflowing thamakalane river. nearer the hotel, but not too near, is another huge shady area, with a dividing low gum pole fence... Welcoming, clean, warm and reliable service are things I look for when staying in a hotel and all of these qualities, I found in the beautifully laid out Sadia hotel in Maun, Botswana. My mother and I stayed in one of the chalets located quite close to the river that runs along the hotel. The location of the hotel alone... More

The rooms are a bit dated, but the pool and atmosphere is very nice. The owner is a lovely man who makes sure his guests are happy. The food was descent; however the service was super slow. If you are heading into the Okavango Delta, then this is a descent choice to stay before or after to clean up and... More

We stayed at the Sedia on three occasions during our trip round Botswana, the first time we camped and the other two occasions were were in the hotel. The camping is excellent an at £6 a night a real bargin. The rooms are fine - they have baths which is a plus in Botswana, are small but perfectly adequate. The... More

Stayed here for 1 night at begining and end of a tour of Botswana. Rooms were adequate, service slow and food ok but nothing special. Had a 2 bed lodge on 2nd visit - very spacious but lots of spiders!! More
