We recently stayed here for a few day while we were diving the USS Coolidge with Allan Power. It was a great hotel and is right across the street from the dive shop, which makes it super easy to run back to your room for lunch. The hotel also has a dive gear locker and wash area and Allan dropped... More

First time to Santo for us, but 3rd time to Vanuatu, we were more than happy to experience the 60's -70's charm of an 'old school' hotel in Santo. It was perfect for our needs. We were there in a VERY hot spell in March '12, and our basic but clean room was an A/C oasis to come back to,... More

I love diving and so often visit Santo. Staying at hotel Santo whenever I am at Santo has never been a trouble for me. I have put up at this place for thrice and have found it good all these times. The place is good for cleaning and drying your snorkeling equipment. The staffs are friendly and efficient with good... More

Stayed one night here prior to transferring to Aore Resort. Room though a little dated was clean and comfortable. More than adequate for a short term stay. Close to all available amenities. I find the previous post did not reflect our stay at all. Staff were pleasant and helpful, the comment on breakfast I believe was caused by them ordering... More

The lady that runs this place only wants one thing: all your money (and as soon as possible). Don't expect any service, she only seems friendly if she smells your money. This hotel isn't worth the high prices. She even tried to cheat us at the end. The breakfast was included, but she tried to put in on our account... More

We organised our own dive trip ( 4 people ) to Santo and stayed at the Hotel Santo for 10 days. We stayed in the rooms out the back which only had fans but as it is there "winter" did not need air conditioning at any stage. The rear rooms are great- not the the most sophisticated but all the... Stayed in Hotel Santo for one week following a wedding in Vila. This is a very charming old hotel, but definitely showing signs of wear and tear. Staying in one of the fan cooled garden rooms which overlooked the nakamal and the pool. Good place to stay while diving as it was easy to clean and dry our snorkelling gear.... More

Stayed here for the last night of a three week visit to Santo. Chose because wanted to be near airport in case of mishaps and other establishments in the centre of town appear not as good. Saying this, Hotel is old, well worn. Rooms are large with big onsuit. Bit expensive for what you get. Pool full of screaming children... More

This hotel is basic by some standards and in places shows definite signs of age but it does have a certain charm and nostalgia. Booking tours can be a matter of who knows who and personal reference and if you decide to do the Milennium cave tour wear a pair of shoes (runners or hard soled dive boots) that can... More

This used to be the only place in Santo to stay at twenty years ago. While it’s still the premier hotel in town, it is showing signs of its age. I booked this hotel because it is central and right across the street from Allan Powell’s dive operation which provides an excellent service. You dive with the same guide throughout... More
