Yes I agree with one or two of the other reviews, the staff speak only Spanish, but we are in a quaint little town in Argentina, so this is expected, right??! The staff are friendly and offer the tours / services necessary for Cafayate, ie waterfalls, mountains and bike hire. The rooms are clean and tidy although in my room... More

The Rusty-K is an affordable and most comfortable backpackers haven. I encountered very friendly hosts, but no one who spoke much English. However, there are English speaking residents in the area. A feeling of the Old Southwest permeates this hostel in the Northwest of Argentina, an area - although one of the first settled by the Spanish centuries earlier -... More

Definitely recommend this place. Quiet (definitely not a party hostel) and clean and run by some very friendly people. There is a relaxing courtyard out the back to while away the hours if you need a break. If you’re hungry head across the road to El Hornito for some of the best empanada’s we’ve ever had as well as some... More

We paid for two nights which were "ok". It is in my opinion overpriced (private rooms but sharing a bathroom). It took the shower longer than 10 minutes to start flowing. They say they are near central plaza but all hostels are 200m from central plaza anyways. Cafayate isnt that big. There are enough things to do in Cafayate to... More

This was probably our favorite accommodation on a 3 week trip to South America staying in a number of hostels and B&Bs. We stayed for 3 nights and had a very cute, clean and comfortable double room with private bathroom which opened out onto a courtyard garden. The garden was great for relaxing in or meeting other people and there... More

We enjoyed our stay in Rusty-k very much. It's a lovely hostel with a beautiful garden for relaxing. Good location, 5 min to the center place, good breakfast and free WiFi. By the way the WiFi didn't work in our room, but in the common area and garden. Our room (private ensuite) was nice, spacious and clean with a okay... More

We found Rusty-K to be overpriced. The service & staff ARE outstanding and the courtyard a great place to hang out, meet other travellers and share excellent wines, cheese & bread. But the beds & pillows are really meant for one-nighters and you need to squeegee the showers or risk water in the bedroom. For a few bucks less we... More

This small hostel deserves the good reviews here for its relaxed ambience, lovely outdoor yard/patio and good breakfast (unusual for Argentina). The staff create a friendly and sociable atmosphere, very conducive to an extended stay here. We stayed in early December in the hot and humid weather, but the courtyard rooms are well shaded and a pleasant temperature for lounging... More

We were completely blown away with the quality of this place. It's only a few mins walk to main plaza on a quite street. It has many common areas inside and out. The backyard with vineyards is a great place just to sit back and enjoy. Plenty of room for everyone. Room was really nicely done with a double bed,... More
