Comfortable room very quiet (we where at the back) we had a bar meal and breakfast and both meals where very good, nice friendly welcome would definitely recommend and visit again if in the area.

Why are are the other reviewers so keen on this place? The reality - cold bedroom with single glazing so lots of traffic roar from the motorway, grotty bathroom with peeling wallpaper, towel rail coming away from the wall, dodgy toilet seat, uncomfortable beds, noisy locals bar, awful dated decor, very average pub style food, no sign of the promised...

This hotel is situated just off the M74 on the B7076 just north of lockerbie. Its a small family run hotel with a few rooms. The staff were very friendly with a nice bar, the restaurant served very good food at reasonable prices and you could eat in the bar, restaurant or the conservatory which faces west and catches the...

Picked up on this lovely place as a journey break on the way to the Scottish Highlands, it's just of the main M74 at Junction 16. Very welcoming place, had a real laugh with the locals who were in the bar, great evening meal and a good nights sleep, we will very definitely stay here again on the way up...

Just as friendly as last time we stayed. I just wish all establishments were as helpful and friendly. The breakfast was stunning. We stayed here on our way back down from a 16 day trip around Scotland and this was the best breakfast by far, a great way to start the day.
