I stayed at the Ferryboat during a short break walking on Wednesday 11th it is located only a few minutes walk from the path. It has clean modern rooms, comfy beds and a great breakfast. I do not know what Marc_B999 below is rattling on about, the owners were very knowledgeable about the area and were great hosts. I was... More

We arrived in the evening tired and hungry from a full days walk on the coastal path. The owners weren't around and left us a doorcode and key. We had expected the restaurant to be open and serving food, esp. since it was advertised as such. No such luck. We were dead tired and needed to venture out to find... More

We are both naturally disappointed that this reviewer didn't fully enjoy his stay at the Ferryboat. We have addressed the issues he has raised as set our below. Restaurant & Bar Advertising. All advertising for the last 3 years, including our website, clearly states that the restaurant and bar is not open on a Sunday or Monday, so he must... More

Stayed in a single room for one night. The room was clean and modern and a pleasant change from the chintzy b and b's you get. This is an ideal place to stay if you need to break up the ferry trip as it's a short walk to the ferry terminal. The owners were really friendly nice people, good hosts... More

We used the Ferryboat Inn for one night as we were catching the morning Stena sailing. The reviews suggested it was a good option in the absence of any local lo-cost hotel options. We were very happy with our stay. We arrived late so no welcome but we were given the code for front door access and our key and... More

Ideally placed for the ferry to Ireland and although the restaurant was not open on the night we were there we managed a meal of sorts elsewhere. Breakfast was very good and you could do much worse. More

Dont give up when you cant find anyone at the hotel even after the 3 PM check-in time shown. Eventually you will find someone (or call the phone number). Room was very small but overall tastefully done. TV projects and is a head-banger. Food in the restaurant very good. Waitress was very good. More

We ended up at the Ferryboat Inn by accident: After we'd missed our 2:30pm ferry and realized we'd have to spend the night, several people recommended the Ferryboat Inn. Turned out they'd just had a cancellation for a "one-bedroom with extra bed," so we grabbed it. The man who checked us in was very friendly, and warned us that it... More

I stayed at the Ferryboat Inn prior to a trip to Ireland which entailed a late arrival (01:30). The hotel is clearly used to this, given the times of the Rosslare ferry, and text or email you a password for late arrivals. Just a word of warning about arriving late by foot - there are no streetlights, but the entry... More

The Ferryboat Inn is the perfect place to stay if you're taking the ferry. Great location just down the road from the auto rental and the ferry terminal. Michele was a gracious host and full of information about things to do and places to eat in Fishguard (we stayed on Sunday night when the restaurant is closed). The inn is... More
