Bodelwyddan is beautifully situated, the staff are helpful and friendly, the rooms immaculately clean and well-furnished, the food is excellent, the facilities and activities are varied and impressive, the entertainment very good. So why does Bodelwyddan not rate a 5* review? Very simple. It is not Alvaston Hall. When it comes to rating a Warner's resort it seems to me... More

Bodelwyddan Castle Hotel is set next to a magnificent semi historic building which is use as an excellent council run museum well worth a visit during your stay. It has extensive well maintained grounds and gardens with superb views. The hotel buildings however are disappointing with no scenic views from the majority of guest bedrooms and none from any public... More

Arrived for a long weekend to see Ken Dodd. Initially had requested double rooms for myself and my mother. A few problems from the word "go" booking online, eventually had two adjacent singles, with patio - refund was given though. I have previously stayed at Hayling Island so knew the general theme but it was my 84 year old mothers... More

Lovely location, excellent room, very good food. Most of the guests were in the 60s/70s age range and the very young entertainment team didn't cater for our age group. They weren't very good - none of them sang well, although on one night out of the four we were there a good comedian entertained us. The loud music belting out... More

We didn't stay here but I did frequent the Spa facility and had a lovely facial using Decleor products. Very nicely presented treatment rooms with lovely , friendly Therapists. Reasonable prices. Would definately got here again if in the area. There was a lovely steam room and sauna. Swimming pool. There was also the Castle to wander round too with... More

What I like about this chain is that there are no children - I love children but it is nice to have a KIDS FREE ZONE. There is plenty to do and the chain takes into account those of limited mobility as well as fully able bodied. The rooms are really spacious even the basic room and the bed is... More

Firstly the good comments..lovely and very helpful staff, beautiful historical buildings and gardens(we had a royale room no 603 which was beautiful (but had no double glazing so the howling wind kept us awake) Many of North Wales' attractions within easy reach. Not so good comments..The website neglects to inform you that to reach the main rooms of the hotel,... More

We had wanted to try a Warner's holiday for a few years and we visited Bodelwyddan using Tesco vouchers. This meant that we only had to pay £50 or so in cash. Had we not used our vouchers and paid the full price in cash we would have been disappointed as it didn't really represent good value. The location is,... More
