We stayed on Saturday eveing for our anniversary. Emailed the hotel twice in advance of our stay to confirm they were able to provide gluten free meals, however never recieved a reply. On checkin the receptionist was polite and conducted the necessary paperwork etc and we received our key, however english was not her first language and she obviously had... More

The cliff hotel is in one of the most beautiful locations The views are amazing The hotel itself is lovely it is however in need of tlc and is a tad run down The potential is however vast and a gold mind if tapped correctly The spa in the new part of the hotel was great, a lovely massage and... Such a nice location with beautiful views It was Mothering Sunday and there were 15 of us. We had our own room for dinner. Choice of three starters, then helped ourselves to the carvery with a choice of three meats and plenty of veg, and then a choice of three sweets. Excellent food. Very tasty. All for £18.50 each, and... More

My wife booked a one night stay in this hotel, which included an evening meal and a spa massage treatment. We arrived at the hotel, just before a coach full of old folk!!! Yes oh folk!! It was like staying in a residential home!! I'm in my mid 40s, and was the youngest there. We got to our room, and... More

The most perfect situation of any hotel I have found anywhere in the world. The food is expensive and could be more imaginative and varied but it is generally adequate and the situation of the hotel is glorious. If you walk out along the cliffs towards Cardigan Island you are likely to see seals and may be lucky enough to... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in March as a KGB deal. The location is fantastic with great views and walks of Cardigan bay. We upgraded our room to the four poster room, the room was spacious and clean but definately lacked the wow factor, and reminded me of an old peoples home, with the dowdy furnishings and fittings. The breakfast... More

I booked with a reduced price deal through KGB (like Groupon, only better) but was very disappointed with the outcome. Despite the fact that we had informed the hotel that this was a special weekend for my partner's 60th birthday, we were unable to use the £50 voucher included in the deal as they claimed they were unable to fit... I booked a one night's stay via Living Social and considering the cost it was value for money. However, when we arrived at reception a man was complaining that he wanted to be found another hotel as this one was not good enough for him. Not a good start but we had an open mind. The place was very dated... More

We stayed at the The Cliff Hotel, Gwbert On Sea on 27 April 2012. We had booked the hotel as we were attending a family wedding there and arranged a room with plenty of advance warning (3 February 2012) requesting a ‘QUIET ROOM’ Later on 18 April we contacted the hotel via email to ask if it was at all... This is the third time I have stayed at the hotel, this time my husband & I were accompanied by another couple on a KGB deal. This meant that the weekend was good value for money. The hotel is in need of renovating and updating in some areas. In some places you could see evidence of damp (above Spa showers)... More
