We had a three night stay in one of the hotel's apartments. We chose the accommodation because it was dog friendly (the owner has a dog) and also for it's proximity to Leverburgh (less than 10 minutes drive), as we needed to be on standby for a trip to St Kilda. It fitted the bill very well, was comfortable, warm... More

The outside of the Hotel is drab and forbidding - maybe a whitewash would help ? But don't be put off as the inside is modern and clean. We called in for lunch and our party enjoyed cullen skink (the best she has ever tasted), and chicken broth which was also tasty and both served with homemade bread. We are... More

This hotel is really tucked out of the way, hidden in a small inlet on the coast. But, it's not far from the ferry port on the south of the island. While it doesn't look much from the outside, the inside is full of charm, from the residents lounge, to the restaurant with views over the bay. You really get... More

Had a meal here in mid April, and it did not measure up to our previous visit 12 months previously, when we had an excellent meal. My wife and I both had a starter and a main course, and apart from a gorgeous prawn bisque, the food was unfortunately below par. My chicken was overcooked and dry, and my wife... More

Stopped for tea and coffee on a Sunday afternoon. Staff very friendly and efficient. Menu looked good so planned to return later in the week for a full meal but puncture forced change of plan. Location great at end of Gold Road, St Clements church just up the hill from the hotel.

Location superb, hotel warm and immaculate, food excellent (the mussels were the best I have ever tasted) and staff wonderful. Views over to Skye beautiful! Ideal for walking, birdwatching with award winning beaches not too far away!

We spent 3 days in this well restored simple historical location with a lovely room overlooking the view of the peaceful inlet and open ocean beyond. Watching the tide slip in and out, the beautiful sunrises with the fishing boats going out to catch that evening´s meal added to the relaxed atmosphere and ambiance. The meals were fresh, local, and... More

I stayed in the self catering part of the hotel in September and couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. The accomodation was great - we had a huge twin room, nice bathroom and a large living room and kitchen that looked outonto the harbour. The staff we met were lovely and friendly on arrival when they were... More

We had eaten here once before on a previous holiday so decided to come back and stay. The rooms were lovely and spacious with a great view over the harbour. We ate here every evening and the food was delicious. Our hosts were very hospitable and nothing was too much trouble. There's a large cosy lounge with a roaring fire.... More
