Room view was outstanding. Breakfast was ok. Decent location for the town. Drive to it along the west coast and back along the east coast! Make sure you do both!!! More

I agree with all the good reviews. This is the place to stay if you want to spend the night near the ferry. Amazing views and a welcoming atmosphere. Not cheap, but worth every penny. More

This made a pleasant change after our disappointing time on the island of Berneray, a little way to the south. Friendly hosts, and very modern rooms (is this place new?). Good food and directions. A really good view out of the window; we could have sat there all day - though that would have been a waste of a trip.... More

Great place to stay on Harris! Rooms were lovely, very moden, clean and well equipt. Fantastic view over the Loch as the Guest House is right on the edge - Fantasic. There is a guest lounge with big TV etc, but to be honest, you just want to keep looking out of the window! Farquar was great, very helpful and... More

We're a bit late in putting this in writing - we visited back in June! What a great find this place was in a stunning location, quiet and tranquil. Farquhar, our host was most welcoming, chatty and informative (he also happens to be the local undertaker by the way, but don't let that put you off experiencing this truly excellent... More

I could spend hours going over how pleasant and relaxing our stay was on the isle of Harris, but to be truthful our stay at Grimisdale will be one of the highlights that we will remember fondly. My wife and I found the guest house was set in a very scenic location, the rooms were immaculate, the bed was amazingly... More

One of the very best and most friendly Guest House we have ever stayed at. Farquhar, the owner, is easy going , hospitable and very professional. The ambience is very friendly - we really felt welcome and at home. The location, our room, all the ammenities, breakfast, all was just great. And Max, the local golden retriver, just added to... Very comfortable and breakfast was great. There are steps at the front door entrance which are difficult for someone with walking difficulties. Probably needs a handrail. More

Very helpful host and good accommodation for our one night stay. At £50 per head this was our most expensive B&B in our trip and we all felt that it did not justify the price. More
