Only been to the Golf Inn twice, since moving to East Lothian last year. And, we'll certainly be going back! You can always judge a restaurant/bar by its burgers, and we were not disappointed! The burgers are homemade and fantastic. In terms of atmosphere, the Golf Inn has brilliant potential - if it's not too busy, you are given the... More

We have visited the Golf Hotel at Gullane many times in the past , on days out to East Lothian. The lunches were tremendous value then - there would be a lovely (real) fire blazing away, and the buzz of chatter in the busy restaurant from lots of local people enjoying a meal. How I wish we had read the... More

I am sorry that you were disappointed but wish you had actually stayed to try our food. I believe that our prices are very reasonable and offer excellent value, however, acknowledge that we do not offer the £6 savers menu that was offered previously - we do offer a range of meals priced between £7.50 and £17.95. Drinks prices have... More

Having stayed here for an annual golf trip over the past several years, it was disappointing to find that standards have severely dropped under the new management. They were totally unable to cope with 10 breakfasts taking an hour from order to serve. The chef turned up at 7.30 at the same time as the guests, and non residents were... More

Hello, many thanks for taking the time to write, it's just a pity that you or anyone else in your group did not say anything to me during your stay as I would have tried to fix any issues that you had - for example, we have replaced four out of 13 showers in the hotel as they did not... More

This used to be a fantastic place to eat and has sadly gone down hill. Food is not the lovely, homemade food it used to be and is now more like microwaved drivel. Ordered the combo to share with ribs, chips and haggis balls etc and it came as if it had been re-heated. Was very dry! I have a... More

Many thanks for your comments, please accept our apologies that we did not meet your expectations. I would like to clarify a few points, our food is prepared fresh on the premises not as you describe, microwave drivel and not re-heated. I accept that you may have had a disappointing meal, however, i am not aware that you made any... More

Having eaten with friends at the Golf Inn many times. We decided that since the hotel had been taken over recently, we would give it a try. Oh dear! what a change. The food was so poor. One of my friends had chosen a savoury tart as her main course, it looked as though it had been placed in a... More

Having ate hear recently I was bitterly disappointed. The quality of the food was not good and lacked flavour. Staff seemed occupied by other things and not on giving good customer service. A far cry from my previous visit last summer.

Hello, many thanks for your comments and please accept my apologies for not meeting your expectations. It is perhaps true that it has taken us a bit longer than we anticipated to recruit and train the required calibre of staff, both front of house and in the kitchen and that the transitional period was tougher than we had thought. We... More

We were given a gift voucher for a meal and we were not disappointed. We arrived half an hour earlier than our booking but the staff were helpful, showing us the dining room, the eating part of the bar of the bar itself so that we could choose where we would most enjoy eating. The bar itself won because of... More

Great staff hotel facilities a little basic and cramped but appreciate due to age of property, we were there playing golf and took up the whole hotel, breakfast service a little slow, hotel being refurbished in time for open. Beds were small and the pillows and quilts had protectors which were noisy and not comfortable. Special thanks to clare and... More

Enjoyed our stay here recently. The hotel is being refurbished and our room was fine. The view from the bedroom was not great but the room was quiet being at the back of the hotel.
