Stayed for two nights camping, and the site + facilities + staff + location - could not be faulted. The shower / toilet block was clean, the showers wonderfully warm (after a cold night!) and the camp itself was well laid out, well kept and in a beautiful location - 10 minutes drive from the darkest parts of Galloway Forest.... We only booked for three nights in our camper van but after the first one we decided to stay on an extra two even though it meant we would be really tight on time. We were there during April when the site was quiet but the service was full on. We parked on the new terraced area overlooking the loch,... More

I was asked by friends whether I would look after their two children aged 6 and 8 for a couple of days, I wanted to take them somewhere really enjoyable just for the day and local. We went to Loch Ken Holiday Park, taking tent, stove etc, change of clothes and towels - just in case!) and two meals. We... More

It was absolutely stunning with a great family atmosphere. I felt quite happy for my 9 and 6 year olds to play and potter to the play area or loos on their own. Our son could launch his kayak and paddle in the loch with me watching from the tent. The children loved the swing. The camp was completely quiet... More

Just stayed three fantastic nights at Loch Ken Holiday Park which was our first time camping and was glad we picked Loch Ken Holiday Park. The tent field was very clean, peaceful and well managed. The showers and loos were very clean. The rope swing was a big hit with our 6 year old daughter and being able to fish... More

We had a lovely couple of nights at the site on our way up to Arran. The staff were friendly and very helpful, the site was spacious and clean. It is an area I'd not visited before but will again!

Relatively new to camping. Just had two great nights at Loch Ken Holiday Park. Very tidy tent field and great, clean showers and loos. Heaps to do for our 4 year old and 7 year old kids. Will definitely be back.

We have been coming to this place for the past 30 years. It has a really restful atmosphere away from the hectic life. We have seen major improvements to the facilities ,toilets, showers ,play area etc, over the past year. The water is great for water sports- canoeing, sailing, water skiing, swimming, fishing.
