I was caught out on a journey towards Scotland and found it was too late to drive back home, I was pointed in the direction of this public house/guest house. It is always a gamble going to stay somewhere you do not know....within two minutes I was made to feel at home, great conversation with the staff, I ordered food... More

We often go down the Bladnoch Inn for a meal and the food is always excellent, the staff warm and welcoming and the atmosphere brilliant. Right on the bank of the Bladnoch river and just across from the Bladnoch Distillery this is a wonderful base for exploring the area. The smoked haddock on champ mash is served with a great... More

The bladnoch inn is a great family venue and for parents a brewery is straight across the road. We went to the brewery first then saw bladnoch inn, had our tea and ended up staying for the night! It was a very welcoming stay. Every time we go it's a hit and will be in our memories of our trip... More

Why did I write 'pity'. The Bladnoch Inn is a cosy place to dine and close to home which is good. This is the first time in quite a while that we have chosen to go to Bladnoch for the Sunday Carvery. On two previous occasions we were disappointed mainly due to the food you help yourself too being only... More

We ate at The Bladnoch Inn, after having the restaurant recommended by fellow guests, where we were staying locally. The restaurant itself is lovely, a very homely "bistro" atmosphere. We ordered a sirloin steak meal, one steak medium rare and one medium well done. Both arrived without too much delay. The medium rare steak was only cooked about half way... More

Went one evening and although it was too busy for us to eat in the restaurant, we had our meal in the bar area and it was to a great quality. I had cajun chicken and my partner had sausages and mash. The portions are huge so it is really great value for money.

Do not go here for food, much better can be found elsewhere in the local area, tourist trap because it is next door to the distillery. Chicken burger ordered (we don't expect much) but one Birdseye crispy chicken slice is a disgrace considering your paying £9 for the pleasure of it. Other meals ordered were of a similar standard and... More
