We stayed in March for 3 days. Had high expectations because of the great reviews we had read. From the moment we arrived our expectations were constantly exceeded. The cottage beautiful. We wanted a cosy cottage in rural setting and thats what we got. We were made to feel very welcome from the minute we arrived by Sue. We had... More

Thanks to Sue and Henry our girls were included in the lamb feeding duty and got to see new born calves as well.... More

Can highly recommend Hendersyde Cottages. We stayed in Southsyde for a short break in March. Cottage well appointed with lots of extras. Maybe needs some new beds but not a big problem and did not detract from our stay to any great extent. Delighted to see a lamb being born when Sue was the midwife. She is a very friendly,... More

Stayed a week at the end of January beginning of Feb in West cottage. These cottages are a little gem. Fantastic views from every window. Cottage excellently equipped and very clean and Sues friendly face and warm hospitality gets your holiday off to a good start. Home from home. Plenty of places in surrounding area but as you settle in... More

Have visited the borders many times so know the area. The location was perfect for us, rural enough to relax and walk the dog but only 10 mins from the bustling town of Kelso for a cappacino or a beer. The cottage was cosy and comfortable, with magazines to read beside the lovely fire. Sue is extremely helpful and has... More

Stayed a week in East Cottage on Hendersyde Farm. Super welcome from Sue - tea in the teapot, table set, rock cakes and flapjack and half a dozen eggs, Sue even put the kettle on (it didn't fit). The cottage was very well equipped and came with plenty of coal and kindling for the open fire. Stunning views from all... More

Five of us family members came from the USA to Scotland in search of our Scottish Ancestry. We found some traces of family past and lots of very friendly Scottish people. Most friendly was our host Sue and her warm welcome and very welcome treats awaiting us at the West cottage. We felt right at home immediately. During our week... More

We spent an idyllic week in the West Cottage at Hendersyde Farm. With a 22m old toddler, life on the farm was one big adventure - he had lots of sheep to see, tractors to stare in awe at (and sometimes sit on), and toes to be licked for 4 delightful puppies. For the 2 grown ups, there were lots... More

One of the best self catering cottages we have stayed in. Sue the owner is lovely, and we were greeted on arrival by a tea tray all set up with freshly baked cakes and a basket of fresh farm eggs. The quality of the cottage made us feel at home and the location is perfect for visiting the area as... More
