We stayed here for a night with family members while in the area for a wedding nearby. The rooms were lovely, clean, tidy, comfortable and with all the facilities you need for an overnight stay. The hosts were everso helpful, putting on some tasty food for us at very short notice. The breakfast was superb, served in the dining room... More

Me and my partner came here for a one night stay on the way to Milton Keynes, the reviews here were all correct. The rooms are lovely and large, decor is in keeping with the venue (I.e. simple and not ultramodern) and was well worth the price. In addition, the rest of the house is lovely - nice wood burning... We just stayed one night at the Dingley Lodge Hotel. The room was lovely and clean and breakfast was all excellent quality. Bruce and Christine were really nice hosts and made us feel very welcome. At a cost of £62 for both of us for Bed and Breakfast, it represented excellent value for money. The views are fantastic!

Wow! Two great new Trip Advisor reviews on the same day; it's amazing! Thankyou so much 'golfandwalking'. I think that we have an advantage here at Dingley Lodge in being large enough to offer some of those facilities which a bigger and often more expensive hotel is expected to provide, such as a bar and evening meals, yet also we're... What a fabulous place to stay. Bruce and Christine were so accommodating to make a fantastic weekend even better. Hopefully we will all stay again once the weather is a little warner as the views were gorgeous, perfect place for a walk and a picnic. Also close to lots of little towns for a cracking night out and good food.... More

We always feel rather surprised and even privileged when our guests have gone home and then felt they wanted to write a review about their experiences after staying here. We're lucky that everyone is so positive. Thankyou very much Jo D for all these comments. Your birthday plans really seemed to go well, what with the tank driving experience at... More

My original plans called for a 3 night stay, which gradually ended in a 6 night stay overall. You can search but you will never find more gracious hosts as Christine and Bruce. Christine is a great cook and Bruce has just never learned to say NO. Whatever my request, and there were many, it was never a problem. It... More

Thankyou Hurson for your kind comments; it's good to feel appreciated! Your stay presented you with a number of challenges and the least we could do was to help out where we could. Visiting from afar isn't staightforward at the best of times so we were glad to be of some assistance. Hopefully the circumstances of your next visit will... More

My husband and adult family stayed here over Christmas for six days. I have never seen a cleaner hotel in all my lifetime of travel. Bruce and Christine provided lovely breakfasts and a delicious home cooked meal one night when needed. They were very patient with all the comings and goings of our adult family. They very kindly provided a... More

Thankyou very much for such a wonderful review. Heaven knows what you must have thought when your visit began by my locking us all out of the house! Happily from then on things did improve a bit. When you first contacted us about staying during the Christmas period you promised you'd be no trouble and you were absolutely true to... More

We will stay here again when we are in the area on business. Christine and Bruce made us feel right at home and like one of the family. The room rates were very reasonable for such a cozy and well-furnished room. Breakfast was delicious and carefully prepared with good-quality ingredients (not your bog standard greasy fry-up) and to our taste.... More

Thankyou for such a positive review. It was really interesting to chat with you about what we're up to, and also about your own fascinating business. We're delighted you enjoyed staying with us. We're very lucky to have more than our share of appreciative guests and, particularly at a time when the national feeling is one of gloom and doom,... More

A great hotel in a beautiful location. Bruce the landlord was so lovely, He even took us into town to save us from driving so We could have a drink. Thankyou for taking the time to write such positive comments. When we first bought Dingley Lodge back in 1983 it was a ruin and what really decided us was the location. It's been great living and raising our family here, even though we don't always have time to appreciate the views. It's good, too, to hear that others enjoy the... More

The best hotel in Leicestershire and all points of the compass, Bruce and Chris are so cool, nothing is too much for them, even for a rugby mad Welshman. A great nights sleep, good food, and hospitality from the hosts that bring you back every time.

Thanks for this DaiScarlets. How could we discriminate against you, just for being a rugby mad Welshman? Is it really as long ago as 1996 since you first came to stay? It's good to know that guests like to come back to us on a frequent basis. Regular guests seem to have favourite rooms and, if we can, we try... More

We had a firm's party last week and I put some of my staff up at Dingley Lodge at the last minute. Even though Bruce and Chris were supposed to be closed that weekend, the level of service they provided was beyond the call of duty and we can't praise them enough for going out of their way to make... Many thanks for another kind review Tony. I confess I was trying to pick up a few ideas about websites from such a knowledgeable crew and, without being in any way condescending, your guests were more than happy to give us some pointers. It's always good when people are supportive and make positive comments about our service and our hospitality;... More
