I've stayed in many of the YHA's in England and Wales and always had a good time, but this one is possibly the best I've ever been to. The building was converted from a church hall to a YHA in 2002, and has been very well maintained since, so everything looks virtually brand new. The accommodation is spacious, with plenty... More

I travelled in summer 2011 with my school for a walking holiday. The showers were powerful and hot, the beds were comfortable (but quite firm) and the kitchen was clean and well equipped for making hot chocolate! The owner was friendly, and the best bit, only 5 minutes away from the town and the arcade! The beach is a 30... More

We liked this hostel. We had a private room up in the top of the building, and found it very clean. For a hostel, it's very comfortabl and convenient, well decorated and with helpful staff who know lots of what there is to do in the area. It's in a rather quiet back street of Wells, a little traditional seaside... More

its great for kids and I have been twice i liked it that much, the food is great although i wouldnt suggest the scrambled eggs, theres such a relaxing lounge to get away from all that stress u might have and I'm hoping to go there again. although the beds were quite uncomfortable and squeaked every time u moved. Thank you for your kind review, Annie, and we do hope you visit next year with your family! The beds are fairly solid wooden affairs which are fairly 'low-squeak' as a consequence, although I do check them regularly with a screwdriver, to be on the safe side. Your comment about the scrambled eggs confused me somewhat, as we are a... More

Husband and I wanted a weekend away in Wells Next the sea and wanted avoid the expensive B&B/boutique hotel route for a long weekend especially as the aim of the weekend was to go out walking and enjoy the beach/scenery. We stayed in the YHA at Wells next the sea, which is a converted church hall. Location is great, walking... More

Many thanks for your helpful comments, 25-30's; we are glad you enjoyed your stay! Of course, you can't expect much romance in a bunk bed, but we do have three rooms which contain double beds, one of which is en-suite... please ask for one, when you next visit! Jared. More
