I stayed here in April on my cycle from Lands End to John O Groats and everything was perfect. I found the staff to be welcoming and helpful. The room was comfortable,well equipped and reasonably priced. The food and beer were also to my taste and again very reasonably priced. I can not wait to go back. More

Just spent four nights at the Barbon, very comfortable bed nice spacious room. Only problem was shower a bit small for a big bloke. Food is good healthy portions of excellent home made fayre. Good choice for breakfast as well. Well kept local beer. all in all a great little place More

Just a short drive from the motorway is this excellent country inn. A lovely warm bar with great real ales and friendly staff. Some very good reasonably priced food and then a very comfortable room. More

I read the last review with a great deal of interest. We too visited the Barbon Inn in February and were somewhat surprised to find it closed on a Saturday afternoon. On a drizzly Sunday in February tried to check in at 5.00pm but noted on the door not until 6.00pm. All looked very dreary and unwelcoming.
