Enjoyed another night at Hipping Hall. The owner Andrew was not around this time but we wer well looked after by Jackie, his deputy. The food if anything this time was better than before ( hard to imagine), the lamb was simply superb. Matching wines with each course was fun and not too expensive. The fantastic weather made a stroll... More

Stayed for one night in May. Booked Room 6 which was their best room and while it was spacious, had a separate seating area and well furnished bathroom, I personally have a horror of hotel bedrooms that open onto an immediate view of the bed. Also the windows overlooked the kitchen outhouses which was not so good and the bedroom... More

We stayed for one night on a dinner bed and breakfast offer for £270 for a couple. We were lucky as I understand it's usually a 2 night minimum stay on a bank holiday but there had been a wedding on one night.... so we pleased to find this hotel. We were in room 5 which was lovely and quiet,... More

A lovely place to stay for a short break ,my hubby and i have stayed twice for two nights on both occasions and couldn't fault it. The beds are extremely comfortable and the bathrooms clean with a high end finish. The food was stunning, we've tried the gourmand menu with the wine to accompany and it's well worth the money! Very... More

We stayed for 2 nights. The room was extremely comfortable and I couldn't find anything to criticise. Food was delicious and very elegant. Service excellent, beautiful surroundings and management were very friendly. Lovely bits and pieces came with pre-dinner drinks which were delicious. One of the nicest place i've stayed in UK. If you read any reviews from moaning minnies,... More

This hotel is simply gorgeous. Its a beautiful Georgian (?) house with additions, although the dining hall is the oldest bit and we were told this was 15th century. We were welcomed with tea and fresh scones in our huge room overlooking the garden. The bathroom was a good size and felt luxurious, and the Ren toiletries were a definitie... More

Beautiful location.   We stayed in Room 4 which was bright and airy with a very very comfortable bed. We've stayed in many similar type properties which were to be honest slightly better.   The two things missing as far as I am concerned are no in room tea & coffee making facilities (why not when paying £250 b&b)! and no... My hubby took me here for my birthday, I'd seen it in a magazine and longed to go for a while. We arrived about 2 o'clock, after putting our bags away in our room we were greeted in the lounge with a pot of tea and delicious cake. We lazed most of the afternoon in our cosy room. After dressing... More

Having both watched 'The Trip', my boyfriend and I were keen to visit Hipping Hall and with time on hands, decided to book a last minute break. On arrival, we were informed that the room we had booked was encountering heating issues and so were upgraded to the luxurious room 4. Everything from the 6ft bed, bathrobes and heated floors... Stayed here for one night. The room was of a high standard, a decent size and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. Staff are friendly and very helpful without being overbearing. Food was excellent. We chose the tasting menu and accompanying wine package. A la carte choices looked excellent as well. Everything tasted delicious, and was presented very well.... More
