We spent a night at Hotel Trave en route from Barcelona to the Dordogne. It was a comfortable and restful stop. It was a short trek to each of the train stations, to the post office and to the Salvador Dali museum. Room, restaurant, computer connection and pool were all good. Staff were very kind and helpful. Hotel had excellent rooms, clean, air conditioned and with flat screen TV. Breakfast was not included in our price and didn't look that great. Eat in Ramblas at the Cafehotelparis far cheaper and better. The staff are disinterested but not unpleasant. It's not right in the city centre but I didn't find the walk too bad. It was our first night in Spain after a few years, we were quite tired after the trip, had bad memories of Spanish dining, so just chose the tourist menu for EUR 18 to save time studying the offerings. We had a big room and a big bathroom and a balcony. The room was clean and attractive. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was extra but not that good. It was only a 10 min walk to the Dali Museum and shops. We enjoyed our stay there. More
