As a regular visitor to 'Hidden Ireland' houses, Morningtons owners Warwick and Anne are the best hosts we've encountered. Their warmth and hospitality are second to none, the food (especially Anne's baking), the accomodation, the ambiance, the peaceful setting all contribute to a wonderfully relaxing and rejuvenating experience. We would highly recommend Mornington for a great country break. Robert &... More

If you have ever watched Masterpiece Theatre on American TV, and dreamed about living in the beautiful houses and gardens shown there, that dream can come true. Mornington House is set in the Irish countryside, with all the beauty of centuries ago...and modern bathrooms. Large, comfortable rooms and perfect peace. If you have to be wired to everything, this is... More

The location was particularly scenic and lovely, the house was historic and charming, and the hosts, Anne and Warwick, were absolutely the best. I would return to Mornington House in a heartbeat! More

Charming 19th century “big house” built by the current owners’ ancestors. Large, well appointed rooms, good shower, peaceful location and pastoral countryside. Owners were very knowledgeable about the area and offered good suggestions for food and sightseeing. Mornington House is affiliated with Hidden Ireland, all historic homes that provide bed and breakfast accommodations. Only an hour drive from Dublin, but... More

Warwick and Anne O'Hara are the lovely hosts, and they made us feel welcome and at home upon our arrival. Warwick brings a lot of family history to the task - his family has owned the estate since around 1859, and the family portraits trace the decades. The house is not modern (I think a prior reviewer may have used... More

Great directions to get us to this hidden hideaway. A warm welcome in the drawing room. Lovely comfortable bedroom, with en suite bathroom. Warwick and Ann O'Hara are great hosts. We ate out as they don't serve dinner on a Sunday - a wonderful restaurant 5 miles away. Silence was the only sound. BLISS. Breakfast was wonderful - and filled... More

We have had two week long stays at Mornington house over the past two years. It has been consistently terrific. Warwick and Anne are wonderful hosts who make you feel like family. The rooms are very comfortable with good beds and nice baths/showers. The breakfasts are amazing. We only had one dinner at Mornington since we usually eat with family... More

From the gentle warmth from Warwick to the delicious cooking of Anne. Superb produce, food and wine terrific. From the dining rooms to the bedrooms, it almost felt like being in a game of Cluedo (without the weapons). Thumbs up on all fronts. More

We stayed at Mornington on our last two nights in Ireland after 16 days. It was a wonderful way to end a great holiday. The house and property are stunning and decorated in a beautifully classic style. Warwick and Anne, the owners, are delights to chat with and make a delicious breakfast. You are welcomed with tea and made to... More

Can't say enough about the service & hospitality, as well as the Ohara's fabulous breakfasts and dinners. It was the perfect way to start our tour of Ireland. It's the quintessential gorgeous rural B&B, can't beat it. Also, my wife is disabled, but the house is totally set up for wheel chair and it was perfect. Highly recommend this great... More
