Spent the night in the Newbury on the way to a Triathlon, rooms were simple with everything you need and immaculately clean and presented. Had to leave early in the morning and they very kindly offered and left out a continental breakfast for us to have at 6 am. Excellent. More

Stayed overnight recently and couldn't fault the Newbury. Hotel not too appealing when arriving via back door from private car park but once inside very well presented. Booked here based on cost (€45 single room) compared to over double that in nearby hotel. Room was perfect; clean, bright, very comfy bed. Had a double and a single to chose from.... More

The room was really nice-much better in reality than in the photos. Very spacious room and bathroom. The bed was really, really comfy too and the room was lovely and warm. I happen to be a light sleeper and unfortunately was given a room at the front of the hotel, ground floor (facing the street) and right beside the heavy... More

It is well located with just a few 100 metres or so to the centre of Mullingar. The first room we got had no WiFi coverage, but I went down to reception and got the room changed without any great hassle. The room was fine, bed very confortable. A few things not quite right like the shampoo despencer in the... More

I chose this hotel as it was almost half the price of the other local ones for a room. Because of this I was a little apprehensive but need not have been.It is well located next to the railway station at one end of the main street. There are few trains so noise is not a problem. The bedroom we had... More

Just spent a few days in the Newbury hotel, met by Garvan who was very nice and most welcoming. For a 3 star hotel it was lovely, the food was nice and the atmosphere was very homely. We had a room near the railway station, reviews had said it was noisy but i didnt notice it at all. The only... More

I just got back from a one night stay at this hotel. I booked the hotel via booking.com and read the reviews on tripadvisor before I went. Two of us stayed here and were 21 & 25 years old. I checked in around 7pm and the guy who checked me in seemed pleasant but not too friendly. A smile and... More
