Just spent a day and night in the above accommodation. Just gorgeous! The grounds around it are idyllic; views from front terrace are fantastic and food is amazing.. Real old world so doesnt have all the mod cons but perfect for a quiet get away. Beds are really comfortable. If staying down in a basement room; you have to share... More

My wife and I stayed here recently for just one night but really enjoyed it. We were attending a nearby wedding and used Ashley Park as our stay over. Our room was large with typical old furnishings but very comfortable the only gripe we had was our kettle did not work when we arrived back from wedding at 2.00 am... More

I chose this little hotel quite randomly online and I could scarcely believe my good fortune! It really is the most charming place I have ever stayed! On my arrival I was welcomed by the owner who is 90 and still drives and does the shopping! I was invited to take a seat in the drawing room and was served... More

One of the best places I have ever stayed in. Got the "apartment" on the side of the house, which was very comfortable. Staff were very friendly, breakfast was superb and we even got to meet Sean, the 90 year old owner who gave us a great run down of the history of the house (and his own). Grounds are... More

Opulent rooms and wonderful food. Outside our window was a private lake in a wildlife refuge. The gardens are extensive but as the owners and staff freely admit "a work in progress." A family has committed itself over the course of decades to the restoration of this wonderful house. Our stay was a unique and enchanting experience. More

A great introduction to Ireland's hospitality and a wonderful country house, where as part of a wedding party we were made to feel very welcome with excellent service and great Irish breakfasts'. We hope to return. More

A wonderful country home, very relaxing and comfortable with a warm welcome from the owner himself with a tasty tea served with cakes. I am already looking forward to visiting this place next year. Ken More

Great location, great old house with real character and fantastic staff, a five star hotel would not make you feel so welcome. The food is excellent, overall 10 out of 10. More

We stayed here many years ago and recently returned for a long weekend. As before, we received great care and attention and enjoyed our stay very much. We are already looking forward to our next visit, hopefully during the summertime when the climbing roses are out. More
